An eye-opening four-part series reexamining one of the most powerful and polarizing political couples of our time. Award winning documentarian and journalist Matt Tyrnauer combines archival footage, exhaustive research and first-person accounts from the couple's inner circle to craft a revealing portrait of their unlikely rise from Hollywood to the presidency - and Nancy Reagan's powerful position at the helm of their unprecedented partnership. A story of power, its legacy and a political performance few knew until now.

I just watched part 1 of this 4 part documentary and gave it 5 stars out of 10, 10 for the cinematic work and 0 because it's naturally a cheap political hitjob that tries to tarnish the legacy of one of the greatest leaders of my lifetime. You know it's going to be bead when some of the first people you see are Lesley Stahl and Colin Powell, and as a hit job it doesn't disappoint. It's the Left and it's what they do. But it is still worth watching because it has some amazing footage of the early Reagan years, many I've never seen before. Here is a link to
the official Showtime page so you can see when it is showing in your area (I live in Spain and downloaded it from a private site so I have no idea when or how you can watch it on cable) and here is a link to
the trailer if you want to get an idea of what it's about. If you belong to IMDB I would also encourage you to go and review it. So far the only reviewer that has been approved trashes not only Reagan but Donald Trump. I have written a review but it has to be approved by IMDB censors first, which is normal for anything you review on that site.
