On Monday, June 17, and again on Tuesday, June 18, freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated that the "authoritarian and fascist" Trump administration "has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying." "Concentration camps are an institutionalized practice in the home of the free … a presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist."

She was a 14 year old Polish Catholic girl. She was murdered in Auschwitz. Wilhelm Brasse took the photos.
In my notes, I have the following, but not the precise source:
"As his name suggests, he had some Germanic ancestry. But he was born in Poland and he self-identified as Polish. After the Nazis invaded, the SS 'invited' Brasse to identify as German. He declined, and he was sent to Auschwitz, where he was forced to photograph prisoners. Later he was ordered to destroy those photos. Through subterfuge, he saved many of the photos."

"He described the process to an interviewer, who said that Brasse trembled while speaking. 'She was so young and so terrified. The girl didn't understand why she was there and she couldn't understand what was being said to her. So this woman Kapo took a stick and beat her about the face. This German woman was just taking out her anger on the girl. Such a beautiful young girl, so innocent. She cried but she could do nothing. To tell you the truth, I felt as if I was being hit myself but I couldn't interfere. It would have been fatal for me. You could never say anything.'"

I don’t know...but as my late MIL said, in speaking of her brother killed in WW2...at least they (Japanese in Internment camps) weren’t out fighting a war.
As far as I know, I have met 2 people who were in the Fort Snelling camp, Minnesota.
And, they met each other there. The husband became a senior VP at Honeywell.

“Left” and “Right” are terms originally derived from where people in certain times and places sat in legislative chambers, some legislatures and their specific contexts and nuances not even existing anymore.
They are ultimately meaningless terms. As is the “Center”.
When the Socialists talk about Fascists they are not speaking about a group that they share nothing with, and indeed in almost every underlying notion held by either about the centrality of government, the ability of ordinary people to lead their lives without being managed by their betters, and so forth the only difference between Socialists and Fascists is that in not wanting to redistribute wealth from the existing elites to be solely disposable by the governing elites (in the name of the people, but always by them, Marx was a liar about the stateless society and all Marxists who parrot that self serving lie are themselves inescapably LIARS).
This makes sense: the mutual hatred is not because they are so unalike but because they are nearly exactly alike. As with most things involving humans real and deep hatred is often reserved for those most like your group but not of your group.
In short the difference between Fascists and Socialists is that Socialists are initially the have-not-elites but once they sieze power and manage to become the have-elites they are then merely Fascists that use Socialistic rhetoric to keep the masses in line as the State secular religion.
Because, again contrary to what that liar Marx opined, and all Marxists LIARS too, it is socialist ideology that is the perfect opiate of the masses, for it offers zeal without any of that messy repentance guff of Christianity and lets people be as nasty as they want to be just so long as they believe the correct political ideology (and bow and scape to their new masters of course).
... not entirely unlike Islam that preceded Socialism in fact....
Meanwhile if you lined up ideologies by their underlying beliefs the Socialist and “Progressive” LIARS would claim that the ideals that America were founded upon are somehow between Socialist and Fascism when they are not in any way, shape or form found among those who think those who know best should manage the rest of us rather than the rest of us managing our own affairs.
Thus people who deem that everything (besides sex, Huxley was on the mark, not Orwell) should be managed and licensed by the government pretend that there is a difference between one branch of this hellish ideology (Socialism) and another (Fascism) and that somehow those who think government should be managed and only specifically licensed to do certain thing (enumerated powers) while the people have Liberty (not needing license from government to live and work) somehow falls between these two not-extremes of “Left” and “Right” as the LIARS (menshevik or bolshevik makes no difference) would claim it, those same people, ideology-serving present themselves as American at all (besides the crudest sense of being born here) when they are in fact opposed to everything this nation was founded to be.
“Concentration Camp”, like “Fascist”, is simple a rhetorical term in their hands. Something they apply like a hammer to a nail to those who aren’t one of them.
Time was those who had never fought a real fascist used the term to describe anyone who dared suggest that they have good morals.
But the dogs, like AOC, do this because they only know how to slurp up the vomit of dogs who have come before them. This is nothing new: back in the 90s my first ever encounter with George Soros was on a weekend talking head show where I heard him denigrate the human capacity to be governed by Reason.
Reason may be a potential master, but if I may borrow from Socrates (by way of Plato), it is at least a master you can choose. Passion without Reason is always a slave master to those who give up Reason. It matters not if that Passion is spent on sex or some socialist / fascist ideology.
He did kick the Constitution to the curb and usher in Arbitrary government as so-called “Progressives” had long wished to do.

Re the “betters” aka progressives:
They have never been for progress, nor progressive.
They are compulsively obsessed with oppressing, and they are “blue in the face” when not having some target to oppress.
They invent “causes” for oppressing.
They have a great weight inside them, tying them to their crib, that requires them to control (some, fanatically) everything that is the universe outside their crib and beyond.
SO THAT THEY FEEL SECURE.
Actual aliens from other planets, do not show themselves, because they are stunned to “learn” that aliens also fall under the Crib-al Dictatorship.
