Has anyone asked (axed?) for the DATA behind the devision? If the data say blacks steal substantially more hair products than non bkacks, it is not a stereotype, it is a trend.
WM should just stop carrying these products if the theft rate makes them unprofitable.
our walmart locks up alot of the cosmetics, so if i want something I have to get somebody to unlock the case, ect.
I just go to CVS where everything is available.
I understand why they do it, though.
Around 2010, I ended up in the Virginia region (near Arlington) and had to stop at a Wal-Mart. As I purchased my stuff and got to the door to exit....they (Wal-Mart security) stopped me and wanted to see my receipt and the goods in the bag. Only time in 25-odd years I’ve had this experience. I was told later....this particular Wal-Mart started the policy and it was the only way to control theft there.
I shop in stores that have razor blades locked up but the ethnic products are not. Blades are highly stolen item and they are taking steps to stop it. It has nothing to to with color. It has everything to do with the lose of revenue.
Home Depots in philadelphia lock up the aerosol paints. A mile away, in the suburban counties, they don’t. They also charge 8% sales tax in Philly, but only 6% in the suburbs. They also harass you at the exit to check your receipt in Philly, not in the suburbs. Also, the philly stores are dirty, staffed with idiots, have unusable bathrooms, and so on.....
I just don’t know why!
I have heard that only a small percentage of WalMart theft is from customers. Most of the thieves are the employees.

I’d recommend Nappa Auto Parts.. You can get all kinds of body parts, carpet shampoo and fillers.

If a walmart associate is eating something in the break room, they better have a receipt, because the managers WILL check.
No mention that these products are locked up because they are subject to a higher rate of shoplifting.
Missing from the article is security is decided by computer that detects what products are stolen most often to justify expensive security.
And after that, did she get a drink from the “colored” water fountain, or lunch at the “colored” lunch counter?
The idiocy and hypocrisy of the left is stunning.
I know from friends of mine who have franchised various nationally known convenience stores that this is definitely the case and pretty much always has been.
In some locales, beauty products are safeguarded for EVERYONE, not just people of color and not just at Walmart.
Note that Walgreens, San Francisco, has closed 10 central city locations due to uncontrolled “shrinkage”, Now no one can buy beauty products there..or any other kind of product.
There is something about the reporting of this issue that is incredibly WOKE.
