Charge upgraded to felony because of slurs, records show
Wildwood police arrested a 77-year-old woman after they say she admitted to throwing a Whopper at a Burger King worker while calling the victim a “stupid Black (expletive).”
Officers arrested Judith Ann Black, of The Villages, on Friday.
Police said they were called to a Burger King on Seven Mile Drive just after 6 p.m.
Investigators said they spoke with the victim who told them that an older woman was not satisfied with her Whopper and was screaming at the victim while standing at the counter. The victim said she asked Black to stop yelling so that she could help her, records show.
The victim turned around, which is when Black threw the sandwich and said, “Shut up you Black (expletive)” as she stormed out with her husband and left in white Ram pick-up, according to the arrest report. Police said several witnesses backed up the victim’s claims and also heard Black use a racial slur.
Surveillance video caught the license plate on the Ram pick-up, which police said they used to track down Black and positively ID her from her driver’s license photo matched against video from inside the restaurant.
Police interviewed Black after she was read her Miranda Rights. The woman said that she was upset with the thickness of the tomato on her Whopper and confronted the victim at the counter, according to the report. Black told police she was angry that the worker was not fixing the issues and stated she “had the burger in my hand and tossed it at her.”
Black further admitted to shouting at the victim, calling her a “stupid Black (expletive).” Police said that the evidence of prejudice enhances the misdemeanor battery charge to a felony charge.
I wondered what Bea Arthur was up to.
If she had just busted out a window or tried to set a building on fire during a Black Lives Matter or Antifa riot, she wouldn't be in this kind of trouble.
At least she didn’t call the tomato a redskin.

Quite a few years ago, I had a problem with BK...Went drive thru...Ordered Cheese Whopper with lettuce and Mayo ONLY...
Checked it before leaving the lot and it had everything but the kitchen sink on it...
I took it inside and asked for the manager...Gave him the sandwich and told him what I had ordered...He opened it up and raked everything off with his finger and handed it back to me...REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, he wore that sandwich home with him on his shirt....

Throwing a burger is a felony? Nope. The woman was a real ass, but she is in trouble because of the racial slur. Sorry, that is not a felony.

I use to work at Nathan hot dogs and McDonalds in the 1970s, and I remember quite clearly people like this, we use to get people like this all all all all the time. These are people who see fast food workers as beneath them so they get hostile to get their frustrations out. Nathans was the worst, I use to get this woman who would come in every freakin’ night and order not hot dogs, but hamburgers for her kids and she would ask every day “Is it fresh? Is it fresh?” and start getting hostile “It better be fresh g-dammit” I would always say “yes” but I felt like saying “This is Nathans you moron, Nathans where our prime food is HOT DOGS! So how fresh do you think hamburgers are at a HOT DOG stand you idiot and WHY the hell are you feeding your kids HAMBURGERS ever night?”

When I worked at Mickey D’s in 1975, you’d put the onions on the burger while it was still on the grill. If someone wanted one without, you’d pick it up and blow them off. We called it a blow burger.
