ORLANDO, FL- On Saturday, May 8th, a woman was shot dead in her own driveway, in what police are calling a “senseless” botched carjacking.
According to a tweet from the Orange County Sheriffs, 36-year-old Roxana Sanchez was returning home from a night of shopping and dinner with a friend, when the pair were followed into Sanchez’s neighborhood by a light colored sedan.
On Tuesday, May 11th, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference, which was later posted on Twitter, saying that when the pair pulled into Sanchez’s driveway, the men in the car got out and confronted her.
“Two black males get out, approach the victims on both sides of the car, bang on the car telling them to get out,”
He went on to say:
“The driver — in fear — put the car into reverse, striking the suspect’s car.”
The suspect at the passenger door then opened fire, hitting Sanchez, police said. Sanchez, who was a mother of two, died from her injuries at the hospital.

Tough guys have talked about a “backlash” against black criminals and radicals since the 1960s. Hasn’t happened yet. Just will be back to the cycle of “tough on crime” and more aggressive policing like we had in the 90s and 00s.
