@ChadPergram
A) GOP ND Sen Cramer on Fox on infrastructure bill: Democrats have a majority in the House and the White House..So you're going to have to take some of those things to get all of the other really good things
B) Cramer: I don't like electric vehicle charging stations. For example, if I was king, I wouldn't. I wouldn't support that. But unfortunately, our founders gave us something other than the king.
They also gave you a Senate and the ability to block legislation.
Cramer is one of the 18 GOPers for this bill.
They gave us a republic, if we can keep it, which is looking increasingly unlikely.
I don’t know if it’s too late but we have to start voting people who aren’t pussies, and x ray their spines.
At most about 15% of this bill is good and 85% is bad. The good to bad ratio does not support voting for it. GOP needed to kill it.
If I’m not mistaken, both Senators from ND and Idaho all voted for this infrastructure bill...
So 4 GOP Senators from states that are supposed to be Solidly Red voted for this nonsense.....
You expect the Susan Collins, Mitt Romney, and Lisa Murkowski to be losers who go along with Democrats but it’s surprising that the 4 I mentioned are idiots as well..
I hope the good people of ND and Idaho remember the next time any of these 4 come up for reelection...
This is a prime example why we don’t have “kings”.
Damn! If only we had a monarchy. Hey! We do have Harry and Meghan! Do you think they could step in and help us out?
This guy says some strange things.
I suspect there is something agricultural he has to have....minerals
A 2,700 page monstrosity that they haven’t even read.
It has ag in it.....or natural resources legislation
Stuff they need...I’m guessing
How did Nancy Reagan phrase it? “Just say no!”
Isn’t a multibillion dollar bailout of union pension funds part of this infrastructure deal?
Good idea - I’ll check. I think the Royal Family just adjourned at the 0bama place.
What did Jonathan Gruber say?
Oh yeah,
“We Relied on ‘Lack of Transparency,’ ‘Stupidity of American Voter’”
Bend and Snap!, works every time.
Too easily bought off.
Shame
His is the typical rhetoric of Republicans...we have to go along to get along. It doesn't matter whether swallowing the whole pill is good, or bad for the people or the country, we must regularly roll over for Congressional liberals to get that one little tidbit we want. That is why the GOP will never be reformed, because Republican morons like Cramer are a dime a dozen, and will always be a part of the party because stupid people will continue to vote for them, and keep them in office. I'm finished with them all.
I don't know what the "magic number" really is, but I'd like to see laws limited to perhaps 1 page. If that were somehow impossible then, maybe -- maybe -- 10 pages.
Anything more than that is just obfuscation and social engineering, not law-making.
This is obamacare all over again. Dems will ram through this garbage knowing the GOP will never roll it back. It makes losing the House in 2022 near irrelevant for them.
“But unfortunately, our founders gave us something other than the king.”
Here is the disconnect with people and history. It wasn’t unfortunate, it was a blessing. And that’s why this little rock has developed into a country that people risk their lives to get to while running away from the king type of government.
Are you sure you want to say that they also gave us a body of government to disagree with the other parts? I believe the senators and the representatives should work together for the will of the people not create an atmosphere of distrust and one up man ship and being a weapon against each other. The only reason we have parties is so they can disagree. And most of that is by twisting communication creating the ability to crime against the people. They never hurt each other...just the people.
