The dark web is the same internet every body else is connected to. The name makes it sound like there is a whole another internet that is separate from the regular World Wide Web. People are so gullible.

Not true. To access the dark web, one needs a Hayes modem and a copper POTS line. And the bbs chats can only happen when using amber monitors. The green ones don’t work — the Matrix scenes were total Deep State misinformation.

That’s a good way to start this discussion given their track record. I’m thinking maybe the FBI is behind the ransom hackers to make themselves look good.

People are going to get a taste of Federal Government ransomware should the Democrats finally get full control of government and demand that Americans turn in their guns. (hell, they’re already doing it with the virus)
Don’t comply with the new ‘gun safety laws’, and, for starters, no more phones or Internet, and then it only gets worse for the hold-outs.
But I know, nothing could be worse than your local RINO, so if the Democrats destroy your lives and freedoms (and those of your kids and grandkids), you’ll deal with it then - but you’ll at least feel good not having that pesky RINO in office anymore.
My company was the victim of a ransomware attack in July 2021.
We and our sister companies do over 4 billion in sales. We were without computers for 5 weeks. These hackers are causing billions in lost revenue around the world. Capture the scumbags and waterboard them. Then stick them in a prison in some sh&thole country.
I hope you fired every single InfoSec and IT person on staff. They weren't doing their jobs, or the company you work for didn't hire any in the first place and simply outsourced everything.
If that's not true, it should've been.
We have about a dozen IT people. If it was not for the AS400(vintage 1983) we would have been out of business.
Let me clarify.
We were not out of computers. We did not use our PCs for 6 weeks. We were using our own personal computers connected via the internet to our system. We had email over the cloud.
We eventually changed all of our email addresses.
We had to do many of the functions(such as order entry)manually like we did it in the 1980s. We wrote up sales orders on the same forms we did 30 years ago. We had to dispatch trucks by filling out a standard handwritten BOL form and fax it to trucking companies.
