Covid treatment breakthrough as 29p antidepressant is found to slash unvaccinated patients' risk of being hospitalised by a THIRD
UK Daily Mail ^ | 27 October 2021 | By LUKE ANDREWS

The drug, which costs roughly 29p per tablet, was trialled on nearly 741 people who tested positive within seven days and had underlying health conditions.

Patients were given a daily course of two pills for 10 days. Of those given the medication, 79 (10.6 per cent) needed hospital care compared to 15.7 per cent in the placebo group.

Writing in the paper, the researchers said their analysis showed the pills cut the risk of hospitalisation by 32 per cent.

Fluvoxamine works by boosting the amount of serotonin in the brain, which can help to boost someone's mood.

But the hormone is also involved in regulating the immune system, and can help prevent it from overreacting and attacking healthy cells, which can be fatal.

Professor Penny Ward, a pharmaceutical physician at King's College London who was not involved in the research said: 'Fluvoxamine was identified as a possible treatment for covid based on its effects (as an antiviral) and impact on platelet function (reducing risk of inflammation).'

Now we are going to pop antidepressants for Covid?

I’ll be blowing lines of coke for the flu in that case...

The Human Body is apparently pretty complex.

It’s tough to control a system one doesn’t fully comprehend.

And that brings up the question about whether the
Human body is Chaotic or Deterministic and individual variations about that point.

They need a couple more decimal places to make it seem REALLY big.

I’m not against psychiatric meds at all and it’s encouraging that they may have benefits beyond mental health. However it is still worth noting why some may want to proceed with caution.

Weed for pneumonia..

The worst part is that I’m acquainted with people who would hear about this and be on the phone tomorrow for a “virtual visit” with their doc demanding a script.

Because they think covid is the plague.

The “I feel better now, I don’t need these anymore” is extremely dangerous.

The FLCCC has had it as part of their early treatment protocol for months.

The dose they suggest is far lower than that used for treatment of depression.

What do we know? Covid is a bioweapon, plain and simple. This is one of the best written descriptions of it’s effects. One of them is neurologic. It’s the primary symptom I had when I got covid. My pulmonary functions actually increased during this time, strangely enough. Fluvoxamine is on the list to treat the neurologic symptoms. Clinical signs and symptoms page two let’s you know everything you need to know about the bioweapon. My friend is doing very badly after the “booster” jab. All the vax happy pricks on here can KMA. https://covid19criticalcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/FLCCC-Alliance-I-RECOVER-Management-Protocol-for-Long-Haul-COVID-19-Syndrome.pdf

From April and the NIH...

https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/therapies/immunomodulators/fluvoxamine/

“There is insufficient evidence for the COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel to recommend either for or against the use of fluvoxamine for the treatment of COVID-19. Results from adequately powered, well-designed, and well-conducted clinical trials are needed to provide more specific, evidence-based guidance on the role of fluvoxamine for the treatment of COVID-19.”

If the NIH don’t like it, there must be something to it.

Careful here folks. This goes against the mantra that big pharma is hiding all those cheap and effective treatments and doctors are in on it and murdering people with ventilators for waterfront mansions.

“Our trial has found that fluvoxamine, an inexpensive existing drug, reduces the need for advanced disease care in this high-risk population. A 10-day course of fluvoxamine costs approximately US$4 even in well-resourced settings.21 Our study compares favourably with the treatment effects of more expensive treatments including monoclonal antibodies for outpatient treatment.20, 22, 23 The absolute number of serious adverse events associated with fluvoxamine was lower than for placebo and this might reflect the modulatory effect of fluvoxamine on systemic inflammation in these participants. Lower respiratory tract infections were reported less frequently in patients in the fluvoxamine group than those in the placebo group. This is concordant with the reduction of hospital admissions in patients with confirmed COVID-19 treated with fluvoxamine, and the numerically lower number of patients requiring mechanical ventilation.”
