I can only do smoked turkey any more. The regular turkey has tasted off/old to me the last few years...

Sometimes meat and politics can be confusing, so let me see if I can help.
If the killing of turkeys so human beings can eat bothers you, but it's totally awesome that 60 million American human babies have been aborted in my lifetime ... you might be a Democrat.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, close to 230 million turkeys were slaughtered in 2018 ― more than the number of Americans fully vaccinated against COVID-19 right now. Also more than the number of backgammon sets sold in Indonesia. WTF does the number of turkeys eaten have to do with vaccinations for the Wuhan Plague?

The deranged, very woke, far left white women at Huffington Post strike again.
Who reads this nonsense anyway?

Turkey is the conduit to serve the other things that go with it: mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, etc.
Turkey is way over rated.
The left over white meat needs to be slathered with Miracle Whip just to make a sandwich edible.
In years past, turkeys were always a lost leader item for the grocery store. Sell a cheap frozen turkey for $.59/lb(limit 2). Just to get the person in the store to buy all the other things with it. Similar to gallons of milk being a lost leader.

Which is why we raise our own turkeys - and one for each of the kids.
Free range, organic feed, humanely slaughtered and processed (by us).
