OK, so our college has finally come out with more detail about what to do with their vax mandate.

What are your thoughts on this whole thing? How do you handle this demand? Perhaps we should have a general thread about this kind of thing.

Finally today my college came out with extra info on what is expected.

This INCLUDES "telework only" employees like me! So, they beat chests about how great our county and college is with vax rates AND case rates, then they DEMAND everyone - even those who never step on campus - get vaxed!

I am soooooo angry over this COVID Hysteria I could spit. It's absurd and ridiculous. And I don't mean just the college. That's another rung on the ladder.

What are you doing?

Don't go to college. Or don't have your kids go to college.

I’m self-employed. hasn’t come up as an issue yet, but if/when it does, I’ll turn down the work, assignment by assignment.

Also fortunate to be older than retirement age, plus I don;t mind living in poverty (praise the Lord!), so there aren’t many pressure points to bear on me.

Everybody has a unique circumstance. Not an easy calculus, to be sure. Don’t burn any bridges, try to find mutually agreeable solution in good faith.

I filled in the provided form and submitted it, citing my sincere religious objections to this vaccine. I truthfully cited other common medications that I don’t use due to the abortion link. I did stress that I understand that the vaccines do not contain fetal tissue and that I truly don’t judge people who have chosen to get Covid vaccine.

HR acknowledged receipt of my request but it’s been several weeks with no decision or updates. A lot of people seem to suggest refusing to play ball, lying, or citing laws/legal material, but I decided to just fill out the form in the spirit that seems to be requested and let the chips fall where they may. I’m at peace with whatever the outcome ends ups being.

Oh I can’t if I have no proof of vax or testing!

Yes, I’m a tutor so I could easily do that. I’m also not the bread-winner (thank God!!!).

Believe me I’ve been collecting e-mail addies of students I’ve had. I’m actually a very popular tutor there. People try to get me again and recommend me.

Been thinking about going out on my own and advertising locally and thru Craigslist or such.

Have you had Covid and could you get an antibody test to see if you are immune.

My understanding is that the US is the only country that doesn’t recognize natural immunity.

I think that would be an avenue worth pushing.

I am a retired B10 university worker bee. I live on a major bus line into campus. The buses are still mostly empty when I go on my morning walks at the morning rush hour. I drove into campus the other day for a haircut at 9:00 AM. There were no traffic jams and no problems finding a parking spot. Curbside parking spots were ~70% empty at the campus core.

My workplace has decided to obey the feds and not our government. They have announced everyone has to be vaccinated and we had to show verification. For other reason, I was vaccinated last spring. I had to pray and think about showing proof. I decided that there wasn’t a Biblical obligation to not show proof and complied.

HTH

Tough spot, but can one named Rebel comply to the pfascist demands?

Lives,fortunes, sacred honor..

Any other rebels where you are enslaved that can organize and say we do not comply?

The massas that run your slave quarters needs to feel the heat of the slaves that will say, no further.
I’m tired boss

Cut any expenses you can—and then go out on your own.

You don’t want to go through life being treated like a farm animal.

Oops. Heh, heh. Sorry about that, Chief., I guess you have a very unenviable decision to make. Risk death or serious injury and continue to collect a paycheck or find another job or source of income.

There are websites out there that will help you write a letter of religious exemption. I guess that would be the first step.

Two weeks before my son left for Bowling Green (BGSU) Ohio, they announced that they WOULD NOT be requiring the vaccine.

Within two weeks after he moved in, they announced they WOULD be requiring a vaccine for Spring semester 2022. They require proof of vaccination OR an application for exemption for:

Religious
Medical
Personal Conscious

My son has consistently maintained that he WILL NOT take the vaccine. That said, he applied for a religious exemption, which was approved just last week.

He indicated in his application, that were they to deny his exemption, he would seek his education elsewhere.

Based on their recent email communication, you will need to reapply for the granted exemption periodically.

So what does that mean? I have no idea. They state that out of 2,207 exemption requests from students, faculty and staff, they approved 1,769.

Would love to see the applications they denied...

In the PRC (Politicians’ Repressive Canada), pols do not seem to accept ‘natural immunity’. In ‘Justin’ Kenney’s fiefdom of Alberta (whose now false motto is ‘Strong and Free’, ha, ha, ha), one CANNOT order a test for CCP-Coronavirus antibodies from a PRIVATE lab. All such applications are forwarded to a Provincial GOVERNMENT lab for THEIR ‘analysis’.

If CDC employees aren’t required to get it, why should you be?

Yes I had COVID last year. Haven’t bothered with antibodies, partly I don’t want to know they wore out! LOL

Not to mention illegals.

Which the college has presumptively defended openly for all to see in Trump years. I’m sure they’ll allow illegals to get away with it!
