Trump to Biden: Plexiglass is not the answer
The Hill ^ | October 22, 2020 - 09:53 PM EDT | JUSTINE COLEMAN

President Trump in Thursday's debate responded to Democratic nominee Joe Biden's call for plexiglass at restaurants amid the coronavirus pandemic by saying plexiglass is "not the answer."

During a portion of the debate focused on the pandemic, Biden said restaurants will need to have plexiglass dividers, among other resources, "so people cannot infect one another."

The president countered, "When you talk about plexiglass, these are restaurants that are dying."

"These are businesses with no money," Trump said. "Putting a plexiglass is unbelievably expensive and it's not the answer. I mean, are you gonna sit there in a cubicle wrapped around with plastic?"

In light of Biden quitting on us today on the virus, Joe’s 2020 plan for more plexiglass and masks was not the answer. Trump was right again.

President Trump still has no plan to address COVID-19.

He quit on you, on your family, on America. He just wants us to grow numb to the horrors of the death toll and the pain.

We cannot afford another four years of his failed leadership.— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) October 31, 2020

More than 230,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 –– and Donald Trump has given up on trying to get the virus under control.

He may have quit on you, but I promise I never will.— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) November 1, 2020

And just like that....#JoeBiden quit on an entire population.

Biden betrayed all his campaign promises & abysmal failure in COVID-19. What a coward!🤡🤡🤡#NoPlanJoe https://t.co/Yp6v1Urufx— Scott Chandler (@ScottChandler22) December 27, 2021

Then why the hell have I been dealing with these ridiculous, worthless plexiglass barriers everywhere for two years?

“Trump to Biden: Plexiglass is not the answer”

Depends on the question.

For gathering in a room (restaurant or bar, for example), the amount of SARS CoV 2 in the air will equilibrate after 15-20 minutes, so 6 feet is as good as 60 feet and barriers make no difference.

If, on the other hand, you are working a supermarket checkout and 100 people/hour or more are less than 3 feet from your face, then a barrier makes a lot of sense.

Poor leadership.

The plexiglass makes sense in some settings.

Creating those plexiglass rabbit warrens does not really protect people from the virus. What it mainly does is to impede the natural flow and circulation of the air.
That poor cashier remains inside that barrier with germ and viral residue accumulating by the hour.

It doesn’t depend. More masks and plexiglass was his entire answer to stopping the virus and how Trump didn’t have a plan. This was not the answer.

Will these absurd federal mask mandates now be FINAlLY dropped, since pandemic issues are STATES issues?

Not that we have to wear them, in TX. Except hospitals/doc offices.

Stop complaining about Biden quitting.

The less he does, the less damage done.

Unless the barriers have openings, eh?

Do plexiglass barriers reduce the risk for transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)?

Depends on the question.

If the answer is "This form of safety glass which makes use of polymethyl methacrylate was patented by Otto Haas in 1933." The answer is "plexiglass."

I should have said:

>If the answer is "This form of safety glass which makes use of polymethyl methacrylate was patented by Otto Haas in 1933." The question is "What is plexiglass?"

AND, now that Dear Leader has abrogated his responsibility for fighting Covid and placed it on the States, will he now remove his unconstitutional mandates?
