True, I saw that news article, too. Jealous wives/husbands/boyfriends/girlfriends and concerned parents also use these things to track their significant others and tennage kids.

I use Tiles, and usually you have to pair it with your phone. If someone places it on your car, you can you know if indeed there is one there? There’s no way to pair it with your phone or detect it.

Your iPhone will warn you if there is a location trackable Apple device that is following you that you don’t have registered. If you are an android user, prepare to lose your gear to an Apple-savvy thief!

Yeah, I'm a Samsung S10 / Android guy. No offense, I'm just not a fan of Apple. And I know Android isn't secure, which is why I don't do anything other than text, make calls and listen to music on it.

My GF is a huge Apple iPhone person so I'll have to use her iPhone to check my SUV and F-150 for trackers. Thanks for the tip.

I believe Apple created an app that will enable Android owners to detect such devices.

Usconservative, I believe you can make them beep to help you find them.

Nice running car but not exotic. Basically competes with regular old Mustang GT.

I’m pretty sure 99% of new car buyers aren’t aware many if not most new cars are sold with a hidden location device similar to lo jak that tracks your car in the event you default on your car loan. Makes it easy to locate and repossess. There is away to disable it if you know how.
