I have avoided the series for so long, thinking that it was just more Millennial crap.. But I started binging about a week ago.
Does anyone have a link to the subtitles? It gets annoying with all of the fictitious languages. On season 4 now, and hope to 'understand' all of the "off" lkanguages.

(I also remember when Australia was on Dial-up and ISDN, and remember when the LiveLeak video member was put on trial (If I remember right, from a Lithuanian/Russian Circus father that was swinging a child by his ankles (as part of the act, not as punishment)).
It has been a long time, I can’t remember the names anymore.. but I remember that a totally innocent LL member, from Australia, was accused of “posting the video” of child abuse (or something like that..).
What many here in USA DON’t see, is that it is coming here too.

I’ve read all the books that came out so far and found it very good, and then saw two seasons of the series and hated it and stopped watching.
Yeah.. they overindulge on Sex bigtime It’s like between softcore and xx.. (hate those scenes).
I skip through the scenes until they say something important (which most times they don’t).
Besides that, it is a good series, especially compared to what they do nowadays....
Haven’t read the books, but may look them up (books are always better than screen).
(It seems that almost no series or movie past about 2005 is worthy anymore. It is rare, anyway).
Most good movies are prior to about 1985.

It’s not even convincing sex. It’s fake HBO sex and not the least bit interesting.
The book series, however, is something else entirely. Sure there’s sex in it, but the story, the characters, the alternate universe with parallels to the War of the Roses are what it’s all about. Not just some lousy actress moaning “OH! OH! OH!” in a fake orgasm.

SNL did a sketch about Game of Thrones in which they depicted that a 12 year old boy was calling the shots and that he kept insisting on "more female nudity". The nudity was definitely overdone.
If you are going to watch the entire series, be prepared for the Hindenburg-like crash and burn that is the final season. Various versions of this meme started circulating on the internet after everyone watched the last season:

HBO really raised the bar and set the new standard of the type of cinema-quality production values that we should expect to enjoy at home on our massive 4K home theater systems. That's what this series was made for.
Yes, the nudity can be gratuitous at times (this is HBO) but overall, the series was outstanding. Sure, a lot of people were disappointed with the finale, only because it just couldn't measure up to the body of the program as a whole and George R.R. Martin wasn't giving the show runners any new material to work with. I thought it was fine though and doesn't diminish the quality of the program.
After I watched it, I read the books. They're great as well. I hope Martin can finish them before he drops dead because there's just so much more detail and storytelling in the books. But now that I've read them, I'd like to watch the series again. It followed the books pretty well, almost season for season.
