Thinking about getting your kids or grandkids an Oculus 2?

I know that Zero Hedge is banned here for a reason, namely its anonymous authors and potentially unverifiable information, but this subject matter was a little too important for me not to share.

For those of you who have kids or grandkids who own one of these or who want one, there has apparently been a problem with child sexual grooming in VR chat. A user started a documentary on this subject, and I think it's necessary to share it.

Parents who bought their children the Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas could be in for a surprise as there have been several instances of child grooming within one of the virtual reality headset's most popular chatroom services VRChat.  

VRChat is an online virtual world platform where users get their first taste of the metaverse and use full-body avatars to conceal their identity. There have been instances of child abuse, harassment, racism, and pornography on the popular chatroom service. 

One clip shared by the YouTuber "VSF Studios" shares several instances of a massive problem in VRChat: child exploitation and sexualization. 

VSF Studios said VRChat is "not a place for children." 

The first example that "really shook" the YouTuber was seeing an underaged girl in a 12yo's body dancing for a 40yo Japanese man. He said it was "disgusting, to say the least." 

Maybe there's a dark side to the metaverse that needs to be discussed, and that is how easily it connects users to predators.  [X]

Teach them to chose a non-descript avatar, or an animal, and to not give out any information>

If they are harassed by anybody, teach them how to block people right away.

Glad people recognize Zero Hedge for what they are.

Leftists ruin everything, including VR.

I have one of these. I use it for Skyrim and I use it for the (Non-Steam) IL-2 Sturmovik "Great Battles" series with both editions of "Flying Circus". Amazing VR combat experience.

I don't do VR chat. I don't do multi-player. I've seen the videos of what people are like. I've seen Democrat Underground.

I will remain blissfully single-player. My wife loves to read and enjoys that I have something I get into. That, plus compared to sports cars, boats and other similar hobbies, it's not that expensive.

But yeah, gotta be aware of the left everywhere.
