I’ve never worn Levi’s or Wranglers or Nike or any name/famous brand.
And, I’ve never needed to, not in my youth and not now.
I feel safe not supporting the name brands.
(But, I just bought a Lexus, so...)

I own a pair of Wranglers and they’re pretty good but I still prefer my canvas Carhartts.
Funny thing is I do own an almost-new pair of Levi 501’s that I found on the beach in Morro Bay this last October. They were washed up on the beach and in my size so I took them home, cleaned them, and I wear them. They’re soft and comfy but nothing I’d use for work or hiking. I doubt they’d stand up to the abuse.

Some of that was from family members and old friends of the spouse. Some of that was from the spouse being immersed in the blame-the-whitey talking points that's popular with his/her "culture".
The few I know of that still stay together are like the ones where both spouses are the same color: it works better if both of them identify first and foremost as Christians / children of God.
Heck, they were basically unavailable in most of Europe. We hosted an exchange student from Germany for an entire year in the early 1980s. He sent, and took, so many pairs of 501s back to Germany he could have retired at 16.
People can have their eyes opened and their minds changed.
As others have noted here, it’s often not a rapid process. (I wonder how many Freepers are former, deluded ‘liberals’ to some extent or other.)

I’ve never bought anything but Dickies brand. I thought it was crazy when kids in high school were paying $50 for a pair of Levi’s I was getting slightly blemished Dickies for $5. The blemish was usually a stitch slightly out of line, only an inspector would have noticed.
I never have been a clothes horse.
I buy it cheap and rugged and wear’em until they fall apart.

50+ years ago, that was my not working garb.
I turned 40 and a lot of changes happened. A good friend told me to save the Levis for yard or upkeep work at home or the church. I still have a couple of pair of Levis that fit me now at age 83, and I use them for crud work.
One of ours Sons had an apartment in Nike’s home American City, Beaverton, Or. At that time he said Nike was a ChiCom company and the people working for them here were commies.
So I went to New Balance tennis shoes and work tennis/boots. The only problem, is they seldom if ever wear out.
