USA Today has a vote going for the best theme park in the country.
If you can show your support for anyone other than Disney, please vote for one of the other parks. I chose Dollywood.

Universal Orlando is fun, but the best value is a Six Flags membership.
We have the Gold one and it’s been upgraded to Diamond, for free. All parks (amusement and water), everywhere, with free parking, free drinks (even Coke Freestyle machines), 35% off all purchases, a Flash pass per visit and even Preferred parking by the door, if you get in your request in time.
It’s a kid’s dream, even though I’m a bit old to be called a kid.
Very clever, that prevents their readers from voting for Epstein's Island, it's not in the "country".
I chose Cedar Point, as I am familiar with our local member of the Cedar Fair group of reasonably similar parks, Michigan’s Adventure.
Did you hear about the two blondes that drove to Disneyland? They were on the freeway near the exit and a sign said Disneyland left. Disappointed, they turned around and went home.

Truth is Disney World actually is a great park.
I suspect it will go downhill even in service as this garbage keeps up, but their service is impeccable. No one is even close.
As far as general fun and not as much emphasis on service, many others could compete.
Shout out for KNOEBEL’s in PA, a local hidden gem.
The best thing? It’s like a fair. YOU PAY AS YOU GO! So grandma who doesn’t ride can pay ZERO just to tag along, and teens who want to ride everything pay for the rides they want. Timid people don’t have to cough up $100+ dollars just to go with their relatives and friends when they don’t like those coasters.
It’s awesome.

Very often, when companies go woke, it turns out that the wokeness is a cover for changing market forces. That is, they’re not alienating traditional demographics; they’re reflecting that their money is coming from new demographics. When it comes to Hollywood and the NBA, for example, the big bucks are coming from China, not America. And when it comes to Disney, the main profit center isn’t children; it’s young adults who, Peter Pan–like, refuse to grow up.
The brilliant Daniel Greenfield makes this point in an article entitled “Disney’s Business Model is Turning Kids into Dysfunctional Adults: Its customer base isn’t kids. It’s messed up adults.” Greenfield, as always, has done the research, and, in the case of Disney, he points to the fact that Disney’s most fanatic consumers are in the over 18 demographic:
Disney isn’t for kids anymore. Its movie business is dominated by Marvel blockbusters. Half of Disney+ subscribers, its big bet on the home streaming future, are adults with no children.
What about the theme parks?
60% of Disneyland visitors were adults with no children. Only 36.7% of Disney World visitors had children under 18. The largest demographic for the theme parks, like the movies, are millennials. They are also members of the fandoms who are likeliest to spend money on licensed merchandise, and on toys and movie tie-ins that are Disney’s bread and butter.
And Disney is rapidly adapting with theme parks and resorts that emphasize its Marvel and Star Wars properties more than classic fare. Its Galactic Starcruiser hotel, aimed at Star Wars fans, costs $4,809 for two adults. Why bother with kid stuff when you can sell $13 beers?

My pick is Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh.
I could be mistaken but I think they stopped selling that membership. The Six Flags out here ran a promo right when they were allowed to re-open after Covid, $99 for 18 months of free admission, free parking, and free food! I know a guy who went there twice a day for lunch. He figures he saved $2000 a year just on lunches (but probably shaved 10 years off his life eating that food every day).
Unfortunately there is some kind of shooting or stabbing at this one nearly every week.
Family owned and operated. When they unveiled their new steel coaster a few years ago, they had local clergy there to bless the ride and pray for all the future riders.
