Not far from Abraham’s original stomping grounds.

Constructed from reed, palm leaves and wood, the boat was covered in bitumen, a substance produced through the distillation of crude oil that is known for its waterproofing and adhesive properties. Quick! Blow it up! There is nothing worth preserving that is older than Mohammed's undershorts--assuming he ever wore such things.

Nope. Abraham was from a different Ur.

Yeah but I don’t think Ur was too far from Babylon. Anyway, close enough for 4000 years ago. Seems to validate the given general timeframe and area.

No, there was another Ur, hence the modifier, Ur of the Chaldees.

Can’t help, still working on my project boat. Low on energy and money.

I didn’t even know they had bass in Sumeria.

I often wonder what life was like for people in Sumer in say 3000 BC.
the population of the world was 25 million or so, smaller than many Asian megacities. And the big cities had populations in 10s of thousands. Most if the world was empty. Things didn’t change, or changed slowly over generations. How did people think?

How many miles apart is Uruk from Ur?

So was the city abandoned because of the ROP or because the river dried up?

Uruk is known as the Second City of Nimrod as well as other names.

((The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion, or satire. Or both.))

Hopefully they will check under the boat for remains of ancient Freeper firearms.

How did people think?
***They were probably very frustrated that their uber app didn’t work, so they saddled up the next horse that came along.
