Charred bodies were recovered at the scene on the side of a highway in the country’s south. Five Egyptians, four French people and a Belgian were killed. Among the injured were eight people from France and six from Belgium, and all are in stable condition after suffering fractures, burns and bruises, officials said.
The bus was en route to the ancient Temple of Esna on the West Bank of the Nile River when it crashed on the highway, but the reason for the collision is unknown.
The crash comes mere days after another tourist bus crashed near the Red Sea, killing three people.

Collided with an RPG?
This is awful. It looks like the RPG must have had a thermobaric warhead.
Bet someone did not maintenance that bus correctly, it obviously did not crash into a tree nor was there another vehicle.
That is amazing! Word for word what I was going to post.
It looks like the driver failed to negotiate a straight stretch of road.
I was gonna say...
Thats a beautiful grisly!
Lived in Egypt for a year back in the late 80s. My work required me to drive out into the Sinai every other week and you would never believe the catastrophic wreck sites I’d see while I was driving. The Egyptians drive with very low or no headlights at night, very fast, and while they’re tired.
I’d pass rigs that were all rolled into a ball, completely burned out with what’s left of driver still in them.
Not a safe place to drive.
Lol!
