During eight appearances on Fox News and Fox Business Network in early January, Jack Keane was introduced several ways: as “a retired four-star general,” as the former “vice chief of staff for the U.S. Army,” and as Fox News’s “senior strategic analyst.”
All of those are accurate descriptions. Keane is a distinguished veteran, having commanded American troops in such places as Somalia, Haiti and Bosnia. Fox employs him to provide analysis of national security and military operations, such as the unfolding hostilities between the United States and Iran.
But another part of Keane’s résumé wasn’t mentioned: the former general is also executive chairman of AM General, a leading defense contractor, best known as the manufacturer of the Humvee and other tactical military vehicles. He is also a partner at a venture-capital firm that specializes in the defense industry.

It’s just “greed,” 100% unadulterated “greed.”
Then come the fake justifications. Those serve to get the people behind the greed. You can’t just say, “hey, I wanna blow these people up because I want wants XYZ.”. That wouldn’t go over well.
So you tell them stories about democracy, freedom, human rights, mad-men, sovereignty... You tell them that God himself wants you to go kill these people (if you can get away with it).
Few wars are “just wars.” They exist, but they are the rare exception. It is the role of the politician and media pundit to tap into people’s emotions and connect a just cause to any expeditionary and economic motivated campaign today. The political elite and main stream media really just represent various economic interests.
Kudos to Savage. The end of the Cold War followed by Trump has exposed a lot of fakers.
Most of the people who peddles themselves as “experts” have an axe to grind.
That why the analysis they give is so disconnected from reality
Same deal with doctors, medical researchers, and Big Pharma ties.

I went to a military college. I know a few Generals and a ton of full colonels. They retire young. They get new jobs In the field they know best.
What would you have them do?
They are exceptionally qualified in managing large operations with large budgets. Most have multiple advanced degrees.
Some folks around here think they should be Walmart greeters.
