@ggreenwald

Trump's failure to pardon Assange and Snowden was one of the worst and most cowardly mistakes he made. Few realize how close he was to doing it. He got scared by threats from GOP Senators that they'd vote for impeachment if he did it.

I think you’re right. Its hard to be an outsider and appreciate just how vast and deep the Swamp really is. And the creatures that inhabit it are willing to do literally anything to protect it. Anyone in the DC labyrinth is not to be trusted.

As the Swamp expands so do the opportunities for corruption, fraud, waste and abuse of power. The bigger it gets the smaller the citizens become.

This ever growing and overbearing monster must be contained. If we cannot elect people who are committed to doing this the republic is lost.

“Hard to disagree with this brutal assessment.”

Easy for you to say since you were there and are acquainted with the most minute details concerning the situation.

I view them both very negatively. I can see Snowden as “Lost Boy” being fooled and that at least elicits some sympathy, but Assange is wicked to the bone because he has a lot of blood on his hands.

Some people are willing to forgive Assange because he helped Trump. He did that because he hates America and thought Trump is going to harm it.

You might chuckle at that if it were just that, but his actions also caused all these American and allied troops dying to IED-s or American friends and other good people ending up tortured and killed because of what he did.

Frankly I don’t know how any executive can defy the deep state and expect to keep their job. An honest media would be imperative and we all know such does not exist.

You have to have something on them, individually. The left knows this, and has been operating under this principle.

Snowden is no hero. He should be executed. He did devastating damage to our country by giving the CHICOMS and Russia the NSA’s entire bag of tricks. China has used those methods against us over and over again since then.

• Assangel is NOT a US citizen.

• Assange was NOT on US soil or under US jurisdiction when he committed any of the alleged crimes.

How is the USA able to charge him with breaking US law?

Does US law now extend to other countries?

Does everyone in Sweden now have to obey US law (because that is where the alleged crime took place)?

Should Brazil be able to charge a US citizen, who has never visited Brazil, with breaking Brazilian law? No. It’s absurd.

But now the US has charged an Australian citizen, who was not in the US, of breaking US law? It’s absurd.

I will grant him all the latitude in the world. If he wants to use the Marines to clear out the DOJ, I’m all in. In fact, I would recommend it.

Agree. Anyone who tells anyone, even a fellow American, any classified INFO is a damn traitor. I was in a TS unit in 68-69. I never told anyone what we did for over 30 years- when it was disclosed/declassified to the public. I recall hangings at Fort Leavenworth, KS even in 1960. These two pukes and their likes to include Hillary Clinton who sold OUR uranium to Russia need to be HUNG.

Trump is anything but cowardly!

Not doing the right thing because you're afraid of Mitch McConnell isn't exactly a profile in courage.

That's the excuse that's often paraded here when it's brought up that he did nothing for the January 6 trespassers who are languishing in jail.

My favorite pardon was Charles Kushner, who spent time in prison for illegal campaign contributions to the dreaded blue team, of all things.

Nah. Trump didn’t think they warranted pardons and I agree. Trump is a law and order kind of guy.

Welcome to The Swamp, Glenn.

The Assistant Democrats colluded with the Democrats to control Trump, then both factions rigged a national "election" to get rid of him.

This is why the current crop of FR DeSantis touts and shills are full of it when they start carping about "Trump's bad hires".

The beauty of Trump is that he revealed ALL of this because he forced these pieces of rotting Uniparty Mitt to work out in the open.

As a voter, you either learned from it, or you didn't.
