Then it should have a proper name in American English, and not Ebonics.

Another fake holiday for a country that has replaced 1A with a national religion of diversity.

Where the hell do they get this “Juneteenth”? Lincoln signed the 13th Feb. 1st. Is Feb. 1st racist now?

She’s obviously correct. An inconvenient fact of history the Democrats would like to whitewash out of existence.

Juneteenth celebrates the day news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Texas. It has been celebrated in Texas for years, by the decendants of the people whom the Emancipation Proclamation freed. About 2 years ago the national cultural appropriationists appropriated it as a national holiday, much like Cinco de Mayo. Its actual origins are now already almost lost to history...

Civil War, Lincoln’s assassination, emancipation of slaves... all important. Juneteenth is a minor footnote.

December 6, 1865 is the date that should be celebrated! Since it’s the date that the 13th Amendment was made part of the Constitution! All this Juneteeth besides not being a word is the worse sort of virtue signaling. It’s a celebration of historical ignorance.

The Union soldiers arriving in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865 and declaring the slaves in Texas to be free. It’s a combination of the words “June” and “Nineteenth.” It has been an official state holiday in Texas since 1980.
