NFL legend Tony Siragusa has died at 55 years old, his former Baltimore Ravens teammate, Jamal Lewis, confirmed to TMZ Sports.

"It's a sad day to be a Raven I must say," the ex-running back said on Wednesday.

A cause of death for the former defensive lineman has not yet been revealed.

Siragusa -- a 6-foot-3, 340-pound defensive tackle -- initially broke into the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 1990 and became a full-time starter by the 1992 season.

I was afraid with his girth he wouldn’t make it to 60.

Players keep eating like they did when they played, and you’re just asking for trouble.

Oh man, liked Goose a lot. He was fun as a sideline reporter. I always remember him describing what it was like to be an NFL lineman.

55 yo
340 lbs
decades of physical stress that for 95% of us, we’d burst into flames.

Vax or not, that’s quite a battle for a human body.

He reminded me of Art Donovan.

Amazing Art made it to 89.

The first Hard Knocks, on HBO, featured the Ravens.

Siragusa made the whole series. He was awesome. Everything you want from a funny and sarcastic guy from Jersey.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTwS70pG4s4 .... just fast forward to all the clips with Siragusa 16:03 mark - classic Siragusa

And his show, Man Caves, was great as well. Especially when he smashes the electric chainsaw.

Alas, I’m not the only one that thinks like this...

I tend to agree. He had a giant frame but he seemed to leave the fat on after his playing days, embracing the image.

That’s what I’m thinking. That much weight isn’t healthy even for a pro athlete.
