Oh yeah I remember that pair lol — it was Jan Hooks and Nora Dunn as the Sweeney sisters. It’s been years since I’ve thought of them and I’m getting a chuckle thinking of those sketches.
The backup band in this case is the rest of Dread Zeppelin of whom Robert Plant himself was a fan. They actually were quite talented and had some extremely clever reggae arrangements of various Zeppelin tunes.
