Heche’s son Homer Heche Laffoon made the request in Los Angeles County Court this week to control his mother’s fortune, according to the filing obtained by The Post.
Laffoon, who is 20, wrote Heche’s personal property and annual income were “unknown.”

Why does anyone care concerning news of this reckless, narcissistic individual?
I didn’t even know she died.
The Black Panther guy died without a will as well.
She seemed legitimately mentally ill.
She died without a will. Estate goes to probate. It will be split up according to predetermined rules based on the number of heirs. There is no mystery here. No drama. No story. The more he fights the more he will lose to the lawyers.
They ruled her brain dead?
I thought she was brain dead long ago when she took up with that moron Elen Degenerate.
The court and his siblings are probably glad that he is stepping up and taking reasonability. Closing out an estate is a lot of work. The estate of a screwball actress might particularly difficult.
Ewwue to hook up with Ellen Degenerares.
She was not right.
It’s sad. She was a decent actress. Her son definitely should be in charge of the estate. I don’t see why that’s even a question.
Agree. A lot of people die intestate believing that wills are too complicated. Most states recognize something called a holographic will which is basically something written in your own handwriting with your own signature and date. A few scribbled notes on a piece of paper can often save everyone a lot of trouble.
“Closing out an estate is a lot of work.”
Truth. I teamed up with my older sister to close out my Mom’s estate. We all lived in different states. I was blessed to be a part of that, but it is not something I would do for just anyone. It also extends the grieving process a bit, and the business end somewhat interferes with it all, feels weird doing “business” over your Mom’s death for months afterward.
His only sibling is younger half-brother who’s about 13.
“Intestate” is the term.
Why does anyone think she has any real money? She did not work much and she was a severe addict.
She had a hard life if you can it that. Her father was a true piece of work. Prayers for her not ridiculue.
Her 401K goes to entity designated on accounts. Her other liquid investments also. Real Estate assets are trickier.
Possible residuals, really. She probably *didn’t* have a lot of money and it’s doubtful that her son thinks he’s going to get a fortune from his mother’s estate.
Exactly.
She was a good actress, but a very troubled person. By all accounts, she grew up in a horrifically dysfunctional family. Her father, whom her mother described as a pervert, left the family for a homosexual relationship. She was possibly sexually abused. Heche also had emotional and mental problems. Nobody asks for that kind of life and there for the grace of God go you or I. I hope she has found the peace that alluded her in her brief, sad life.
Eastwood’s “Million Dollar Baby” is one of the few movies I could only watch once.
