Ideas matter. Freedom matters. Communication matters. Tolerance matters. Scrutiny matters. History matters. Truth matters. Those are the values promoted by free speech, free assembly and free expression; the ones that made America a haven for intellectual freedom.
Those who argue for censorship — whether it be to protect institutional authority, quell resistance to tyrannical policies or simply to avoid triggering the politically unhinged — do so because they fear the compelling nature of the adversarial point of view. Bad ideas can be discredited with good information and sound logic. Therefore, they need insulation from that which can dismantle them. Good ideas need no such protection. In the absence of censorship and deceit, they routinely prevail in the arena of debate.
Ask yourself the following: Have you noticed either the mainstream media or government officials waving red flags over the inevitable consequences that will result from millions of illegal aliens flooding our southern border? Have you heard either of them sound the alarm that our children are at a greater risk of serious illness and death from the COVID vaccine than the virus itself?
If not, it is because those once-trusted entities have become so politicized and partisan that they will not allow anything — including the truth — to harm the narrative they so desperately seek to advance. When dealing with inconvenient realities, they seem to have two choices only: to censor or ignore.
The value of truth is in freefall. Words and concepts are being obscured into meaninglessness. Objective analysis has given way to a tunnel-vision focus on validation for preconceptions or, even worse, systematic deception designed to centralize power and control. Basic understandings are twisted and contorted into a new math where fantasy + indoctrination = the inability to critically think.

If the far left don’t censor, they LOSE elections and power. They have to censor to stay relevant and in power.
if they cant kill the second amendment they will try and kill the first...its all about power and control...they are also killing the 4th as we watch.

The tactics used in the 2020 election cycle may not be as effective this time round. New, more drastic measures are needed.
Simple. When you don't have any good arguments, you ensure that yours are the only arguments permitted.
It goes back to Gramsci (1920s, IIRC).
The average person figured out pretty quick (using common sense) that Communism wouldn’t work.
The solution was to get rid of common sense - they called it redefining cultural hegemony or something.
The concept of censorship goes way way back....
Kings and Popes refined it into an art form during the Dark and Middle Ages.

I suggest it is nothing but good old fashion "collectivism."
Collectivism has been around since the beginning of human society. There have always been those who argued for collectivism as opposed to individualism (i.e., merit).
The problem is that both are needed. Strong individuals are needed for their merit (good hunting skills, intellect, and inventiveness). But even strong individualists needed the support of communities. Such communities consisted of those less productive but whose jobs were still quite valuable. And in those communities were the families of the rugged individualists, including the old and infirmed. These communities represented what we call collectivists.
The problem is of course politics. Any time politics is injected into ANY issue, that issue becomes confused, muddled, and, well, worthless.
As an aside, those who inject politics into issues can be broken into two groups: (1) true believers and (2) those who are using the political movement merely to gain power. Of course, some folks fall between those two groups.
The problem at the present time is that the collectivists have concluded that there is no room at the table for the strong, over-achieving individualists. So the collectivists have built a coalition of folks who are at the opposite end of the continuum from individualists. This coalition consists of anyone and everyone who identifies as mediocre, oppressed, weak, infirmed, lazy, envious, unambitious, uninventive, immature, insecure, and, in general, scared of trying their best because they doubt their potential.
The goal of this coalition is equality with those they identify as "rugged individualists."
Equality.
The problem is that what they want is unrealistic. It doesn't exist within the realm of reality. It is a fantasy.
Bottom line: For this political movement to succeed, reality must be rejected.
That means that any mention of reality must be verboten. It must be "cancelled."
Since Reality (capital R) is forbidden, it will be necessary for this movement to create its own alternative reality. Ergo, reality is fluid, flexible, relative, subjective. Reality is what you wish for it to be.
You see where this is heading.
The problem is that Reality isn't flexible. It is fixed in many very harsh and demanding ways. It is cruel.

A Marxist Nazi democrat would simply say they want to control the narrative.
They can’t do that unless they can silence dissenting voices.
There are very few in the media and politics that do not adhere to this concept. Yes; both have been largely infested with Marxist Nazis. Some pretend to be republican until they are caught; like Lizard Cheney and the other RINO’s who just recently voted to change election laws at the federal level. These are not now nor have they ever been real conservatives. They were plants by the dems to infiltrate the republican party to turn it into the Uniparty and convert as many as they can into RINOs. They have been quite successful.
The good news is President Trump came along to expose these posers. Now good America First people are rising and getting elected. My hope is after a few critical election cycles the RINOs will be purged being replace by actual Americans who will fight for what is right.
More good news is a large number of moderate dem voters see this problem with the radical left Marxist Nazis in their party so they are either not voting for them or switching to Independent or Republican voters.
Because the hide their agenda behind lies and it cannot stand being exposed.
Kinda hard for Hillary to say “my goal is absolute power for myself. To rule and oppress! To kill those who question how great I am! Me! All about me!”
Or AOC “I want to be famous! And want to kill whites people and all those Jews at BU who made me feel stupid!”
Or Tlab “I want to kill Jews and destroy white peoples of the planet!”
Or your average ANTIFA guy: “I’m a loser with daddy issues and blame society for my bad life choices!”
Or the average Environmentalist “I hate myself and hard people. I want the human race to die!”
That’s all a pretty hard sell.
So they have to censor.

Stupid question.
Anyone who has to ask that question doesn’t begin to understand what this is all about.
The Left HATES freedom and LOVES and is determined to get Worldwide Totalitarian Government.
Simple...the truth is not on their side.
Their intent is to foster feelings of isolation and despair. Take away our ability to communicate freely by electronic means and all that’s left is the freedom to peaceably assemble.
But mandatory EVs will reduce or eliminate our ability to freely associate with like-minded folk. Combined with electronic censorship, we will be well and truly will be isolated and unable to communicate in large numbers to formulate a plan to resist government tyranny.
The short-term plan is to provoke so much agitation in the less stable as to inspire them to violence. This is why Bite-Me’s manner of speech has become so much more strident of late. If he/they can provoke just a couple of minor acts of rebellion before November that can be laid at the feet of White Supremacists or MAGA Extremists, that will give them justification to call for martial law and postpone the elections.
If they can cancel the November elections, the frog already will have been well and truly poached.
It did neither.
This cannot possibly be repeated often enough, especially for the mentally-challenged vaccine shills here on FR, who have now lowered themselves to defending the “vaccines” by making the unprovable assertion that the “vaccines” reduce the severity of “COVID”. They seem oblivious to the fact that it is an unprovable assertion, as well as to the fact that the clowns telling them that the “vaccines” reduce the severity of “COVID”, are the same clowns who lied to them about the first two claims.
But then, I see idiots every day, STILL wearing masks everywhere.
