George Carlin on the environment in 1992: Leave nature alone, the Planet is fine. (Warning: Strong language)
“We haven’t learned how to care for one another and we’re gonna save the ******* planet?! I’m getting tired of that ****! I’m tired of ******* Earth Day! I’m tired of these self-righteous environmentalists; these White, bourgeois liberals who think the only thing wrong with this country is there aren’t enough bicycle paths. People trying to make the world safe for their Volvo’s! Besides, *environmentalists don’t give a **** about the planet. *They don’t care about the planet; not in the abstract they don’t.”

As heard on the Mark Levin show again yesterday because media like ABC’s The View, CNN’s Don Lemon and so many others are trying to blame Hurricane Ian on politics/climate change and not nature. Give it another listen. Pass it around.
True, I’ve never liked comedy that relied on shock value like the 7 words you can’t say on TV.
But his comments on political speech are priceless. “There should be a special place in Hell for people who take full responsibility.”
I posted this when the Coof hysteria began.
Also, Weird Al’s thoughts on germs
is there anyone that is similar to him now a days?
Russell Brand has become right wing and edgy but he’s no Carlin.
One and only.
bttt
Nothing has changed for decades.
A man of the ages. So perceptive.
A man of the ages. So perceptive.
My favorite Carlin routine, was about how we’ve softened language. “Shell Shock” became “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”.
My wife and I saw him in concert locally about 40 years ago.
Leon Redbone opened for him.
We were 7 rows from the front, it was a fantastic experience.
I don’t remember him doing political stuff, but most of his material was nothing new. My wife had never heard a lot of his stuff, and she loved it.
It was a great night. I saw Cheech n Chong in the 70s and that was the first time I heard their material. My ears were burning by the end of the evening.
My wife’s cousin had an extra ticket to see Kenny Rogers when he came to town, so she took my wife. I felt a little miffed that they didn’t include me.
It turns out they had front row seats, and my wife was able to shake Kenny Rogers’ hand.
I didn’t feel so bad when she came home- she was a MESS.
Guess who opened for Rogers- Gallagher and his Sledge-o-Matic.🙂
The only comedian I like these days is Bill Burr.
front row seats for gallagher ? mess indeed.
saw carlin in 72 at the airie crown theatre...roberta flack opened for him. don’t remember if donny hathaway sang duets with flack or not at that show.
I would have loved to see Roberta Flack in concert!
What an amazing vocalist and songwriter.

Carlin starts about 5:15. He starts going off on politician's speech about 11:00
So, our puny emissions are once again responsible for southern Florida’s destruction?
Total BS.
