What partisans and freedom fighters? You are basically justifying infrastructure terror right now. Was Osama bin Laden a freedom fighter based on the same criteria?

Russian false flag to justify escalation of the war?

Some photos show the burning on the right side of the arch. Others show it from the left side. It depends on whether it was photographed from the north side or the south side of the bridge. My first impression was that it was close to the Russian end of the bridge. Also you can see the progression from dawn to daylight as more photos show up.

Why not nuking Moscow for a false flag? What justification do you think they need? Not to mention that Ukraine and NATO were talking about blowing the bridge for a long time.

Cost effective.

The main span of the bridge is between Tuzla island and the Crimean mainland. Both are considered Ukrainian territory under international law. No international court would recognize that Russia had standing to complain about a bridge it built while squatting on illegally occupied land. They are 'effing with Putin again, just like blowing up the pipeline in the Baltic. There is a pattern here.

Okay, I put this in a new tab and zoomed to see both lanes down here. Couldn’t see that in pictures before without zooming. This part looks like an engineer job on the columns/transoms under the deck. Could possibly have been some kind of accurate missile hit, though. Truck full of demo? I doubt it.

President Putin is going to be really pissed,
AND IT IS HIS BIRTHDAY TODAY!

One thing that makes the pictures a little hard to interpret is that the road bridge is built closer to the water and then goes up and over the centers span. On the other hand the raid bridge is built up higher so it has a gradual rise and fall from one side to the other. It appears a truck behind the white truck blew up, destroyed sections of the road bed and exploded upward also setting the rail bridge or the train on it on fire.

I have a negotiating proposal for getting Russia out of Crimea without a lot more fighting and destruction. Allow Russia to rent it’s its current port facilities after all their warships, airplanes, military supplies, and soldiers are removed, and then permit use for commercial shipping. This would answer Russia’s desire for a warm water port and provide income to Ukraine.

What you are proposing is essentially the agreement that was already in place prior to 2014 - except that Russian warships also had free access.

No, sorry... Only solution is to remove Putin.

What partisans and freedom fighters? You are basically justifying infrastructure terror right now.

Meanwhile, Putinists on this forum were boasting 2 or 3 weeks go that Russia would now decimate Ukraine's infrastructure, beginning with their electricity, and bragged that Ukraine would now be "sitting in the dark."

Of course, the problem was the Russkies, even with missile strikes, could only keep the power off for about an hour.

Now we have a Putinist complaining about terror attacks on infrastructure? I think it's just jealousy!

What is odd is that the road bridge is in two parts, and only the side furthest from the rail bridge collapsed.

Don't mean to condescend: a lot of people do not know.

No, please do condescend, pierrem15.

Such levels of smug ignorance deserve to be ridiculed and mocked.

I still think the chance of Ukraine regaining Crimea is pretty low, but I don’t think they will be willing to negotiate until Russia is pushed back to the Feb 23 line or close to it. Putin is clearly trying the huff and puff into negotiations now. I have relatives in Europe and read the French, German and Polish papers every day (the last in translation). People are complaining about the high prices but no one is freezing or starving and are unlikely to do so. No mass layoffs yet, although some gas-dependent industries are clearly suffering like fertilizer production and glass making.

Kerch Bridge is a large symbol and confirmation of Poot’s theft of Crimea.
Making the Kerch bridge untenable will help Ukraine in negotiations and will mess with Poots fragile psychology. Thanks for the report from you European relatives.

Putin’s birthday and a Greek fire attack on Putin’s favorite bridge!
And is he ever going to be pissed!

You must be near your zenith!
Or would that be nadir?

It is not so much the Russians that are hated, it is Putin, his staff, and his running dogs.

Mother Russia weeps, not for some $4 BILLION bridge; Putin is destroying Russia.

Okay, I see now, after watching all of the videos here. Looks like an air strike (missile with a powerful warhead).
