Publix customers can now enjoy a pint of beer or a glass of wine while grocery shopping at select stores in Florida.
Customers can order freshly brewed coffee, a glass of wine, or beer and sip while they shop.
According to Publix’s website, customers “can enjoy a glass at our bar or take it with you while you shop. And whether it’s happy hour, Sunday fun day, or anytime, you can enjoy a drink at Pours.”
Pours debuted at the Publix GreenWise Market in Tallahassee in 2018.
Since then, the supermarket chain has expanded Publix Pours to select Publix GreenWise stores across Florida.

I liked their Italian subs with Boar’s Head meats.
$100K donors to DeSantis PAC, favor conservative causes.
They have a little beer/wine pub inside by the deli. The locals call it "Krobar."
I like Boar’s head meats, but they’re too expensive at Publix, usually approaching 15 dollars a pound. I found a local deli where they’re selling for 11 to 12 dollars a pound. But at this point in time, I’m just using the Greers* deli, where Kretschmar meats are as low as ~$7.00 a pound.

I used to get them in Jax FL, but that was 2000-2008.
Same in Cincy, the local snob women drink wine and talk and shop at the same time, blocking up the aisles. It maddening. Sometimes they have live music. I usually go to the smaller store where us stiffs can get in and get out.
Can I bring my Bud tallboy in the store with me?
Only if you’re shirtless and wearing flip-flops.
We don’t have Boar’s Head here in Missouri but do have Kretschmar. When I find half ham on sale for $4/lb +-, I grab it and run it through the meat slicer. Some gets cut to 1/4” for ham steaks and some shaved as thin as possible for sammiches. Mich chunks are used for ham and eggs for breakfast.
I do remember Boar’s Head from FL.
Kretschmar is a brand owned by Chinese-owned Smithfield
Well that sucks. It’s about the only decent brand around here.

Check and check.
Three friends and I spent a day getting three kinds of wrecked on a Key Biscayne beach, back in the ‘80s. We ran out of beer, and found our way, wind-blown and sunburned, into the package store side of an upscale Italian restaurant. We made our way to the beer cooler in back, past a couple of gay oenophiles that were wearing their own silver wine-tasting cups on chains around their necks. One of the guys was perusing the selection and blurted out “ Hey! They got Moosehead in cans!” Doing our part to class the place up a bit.
I hold my nose and shop WalMart (15-20 minutes away) where I save up to 60% over Publix' prices for the same or similar brand names.
I make one exception....I love Publix' deli and its fabulous Danish Bakery. Excellent quality and great tasty stuff !

They do that at some Lowes Foods in NC and a Harris Teeter in Wilmington, NC that just opened has a full on bar in the middle of the store!! 🍷🍸🍹🍺🥃🧉
Publix prices took off to the moon when they donated $1 Million to the National Urban League during the 2020 summer of riots, in an effort to purchase social justice.
I deliver from Walmart so I have less visual pain and save money. I purchase Boar Head lunch meats from Publix.
