White House correspondent Simon Ateba, who works for Today News Africa, was among a trio of journalists who triggered a meltdown today by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Newsbusters’ Curtis Houck detailed what transpired in a three-part tweet that also included clips of the incident.
“WATCH: KJP did NOT like it when @DailyCaller‘s @DianaGlebova shouted out a question to Fauci about the origins of COVID and the @NYPost‘s @StevenNelson10 came to her defense.”
“PART 2 — KJP scolds @DailyCaller‘s @DianaGlebova for again trying to ask Fauci about the origins of COVID: “We have a process here. I’m not calling out on people who yell. You’re being disrespectful to your colleagues and…our guests…You’re taking time off the clock.”
“Part 3 —@SimonAteba comes to the defense of the @DailyCaller‘s @DianaGlebova after KJP dresses her down for asking Fauci about the origins of COVID: ‘You need to call…people from across the room. She has a valid question.’ KJP: “Simon, I’m done…I’m done with you right now.'”
The Daily Beast’s Justin Baragona shared a full clip of what transpired and he quoted Jean-Pierre’s blistering attack on Ateba.
Mediaite (Not to be confused with this outlet) reporter Jackson Richman shared Baragona’s clip and noted, “.@PressSec was already done w/@simonateba, unfortunately, as I wrote last month.”
According to Richman, Ateba said that he has been blacklisted by the White House communications shop.
Ateba told Richman at the time, “I can confirm that I have been blacklisted by the White House following my question to John Kirby more than a month ago.”
“As a result of me being blacklisted, I have not been called on for over a month now, and several White House officials told me that some unnamed people went to complain to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre not to call on me,” Ateba explained.
Kirby lectured Ateba during an August 4 press briefing, “This is the White House press briefing room, and you need to be more respectful. I am going to call on this reporter.”
Extreme meltdown brought on by an extremely low IQ.

Sounds more like British Monarchy rather than a republic being held accountable by it’s masters.
She should just ask the questions herself and demand that the press dutifully report the answers.

Today we detest them because they are employed by the same government to hide and derail investigations and bury the government's conduct.
The really worrisome part is that the flip has gone largely unrecognized by the public.
