Fresno, CA – A pregnant woman was stabbed to death and set on fire in an alley just days after she was the guest of honor at a baby shower celebration, according to police.
The Fresno Police Department (FPD) and the Fresno Fire Department (FFD) responded to a dirt access road behind 4488 North Cornelia Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 after receiving a report of a dead woman who appeared to have been set on fire...

FFD arson investigators and FPD homicide detectives responded to the scene and noticed a melted gas can just feet away from Logan’s body.
Investigators said they also found the presence of an accelerant on the pregnant woman’s corpse,.

Detectives canvassed the area and came upon a witness who reported having seen a suspicious individual pushing a city garbage bin out to the dirt access road.
The witness assumed the bin was filled with trash, and noted that the suspicious person set it on fire.
After identifying the victim, officers went to the home where she had lived with her mother and her 41-year-old brother, Aaron Dudley, .
Detectives located security footage from the area that allegedly showed Dudley pushing a city garbage bin through the neighborhood and in the direction of the alley where Logan’s body was later discovered.

Logan was 36 weeks pregnant at the time of her murder and had celebrated her baby shower just days before her death, .
Detectives said they believe Logan was inside her family’s home when Dudley stabbed her repeatedly,
They said Logan and her unborn baby both suffered stab wounds in the horrific attack.
Dudley then allegedly placed his sister’s body inside a garbage bin, wheeled it out to the dirt access road, and doused her with gasoline before lighting her on fire,
Family members told police that Logan planned to name her baby boy Noah,.
Authorities said the unborn child likely could have survived outside his mother’s womb at the time he was stabbed, .
Dudley was arrested as he allegedly attempted to flee the home when officers arrived to execute a search warrant, ..
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of the homicides of Logan and her unborn child.
Chief Balderrama said the brutal murder was “horrific,” ..
“It takes an awful lot of evil, hate and planning to stab your own sister multiple times,” the chief said. “Since I was informed about this incident yesterday, I haven’t stopped thinking about it.”

Crimes like this will continue to increase over time because government at every level is unwilling to exercise the primary, and fundamentally the only justification for its existence, and that is to protect citizens from being attacked and murdered by barbarians.

My first reading is that she getting ready to deliver was viewed by him as possibly encroaching on the possible rights of the family home.
