I do understand that what you are saying is the official position; namely, that Covid19 can be very serious or even deadly for certain health risk groups: the elderly, the overweight, the immune compromised and those with pre-existing conditions.
There’s no point in us arguing about whether or not the “official position” is true, since we all have to depend on official sources for our information.
You and I can offer our anecdotal experiences but of course, anecdotal evidence is not statistically conclusive. Beyond that, it all comes down to what you believe, and how much you trust The State.

It's a free country. You're skinny so you are less likely to suffer from complications if you've contracted covid so you've made your choice.

What a lovely thing to say, and I agree with you. Silk started out as the "straight man" to Diamond's out-front comedic style, but eventually she often came out with very astute comments. God bless her and all their family and friends. I can't imagine the loss for them.
No, you don’t really understand. I don’t simply take the official position.
I still think, largely, COVID is a minor issue. It can be serious for some. It is not serious enough to risk a bunch of rushed biology like vaccines.
And one reason I am heavily prejudiced on COVID is that I have lots of medical issues, and these medical people to this day are not acting like heroes. They are cowards and downright cruel. I have had plenty experience with COVID myself, and with expert connections, and with the disease itself and the fall-out. My anger knows no bounds.

I was not pro-lockdown or mask, and certainly not vax. My experience trying to get care for OTHER very important things has only colored me worse. (E.g., I got cancer again during this, after getting kicked out of my oncologist follow-up for having had COVID “too recently”.)
This is not about trusting the state, though that is low ebb for me. In some cases it’s looking at the stats myself - and knowing they are not thorough, thanks to my experiences.
I have to wonder is D had something else going on, or maybe didn’t know she did.
She is younger than I slightly. I just suffered it again, after 2 years. I may be having complications now, but not the kind everyone thinks of. Never went to the hospital or doctor. I just am having more troubles since COVID last month so wonder if it has triggered something in me already bad but undiagnosed (damn doctors just don’t really help dig into problems). Honestly I hope it’s just COVID causing temporary trouble that will eventually go away.

The tests are bullshit since there is no way to verify them other than repeating the same test.
The case reporting is bullshit, since the vast majority of people don’t see a doctor for sniffles.
The Covid mortality data is bullshit, since anyone who dies WITH Covid is presumed to have died OF Covid. Same with Covid hospitalization data.

Back in mid-2020, I purchased two Trump T-shirts from Diamond and Silk's website because the left-wing media was really coming down on them hard. The usual suspects were calling the duo all types of awful names so I wanted to contribute to their living. Those two T-shirts are about the two most comfortable shirts I own. They are so soft and comfortable, and well-made, that I claimed one as my sleeping shirt. Mother loved those shirts!
I recall that one time, I had to call 911 because Mom was having trouble breathing and her heart rate was extremely high. The EMTs recommended taking her to the hospital. Another sister was going to follow the ambulance, and I promised to be there not long afterwards, after gathering some stuff mother would need and securing the house. I mentioned to the EMT guy that I probably should change out of my D&S Trump T-shirt before heading to the hospital, and he responded, “With that shirt on, you can ride with us, in the front seat!” I'll always think of that when thinking of Diamond and Silk.
The evilness of the left has really come to the forefront when you read the despicable comments they have made in regards to Diamond's passing away. Their pretense of being the “accepting and tolerant” party is just a pretense. We need to quit pretending that narrative is true and call them out on their biases and intolerance.
