Best method. Always works. I use a church key instead of the knife.

Well, I’d send it off to Gutfeld and SNL. etc. This could be a skit that is comedy gold. I actually saw it (in my noggin) played out with the old Carol Burnett crew.

I do not always agree with your political contentions on this forum, but you have a way with words that I am envious of and greatly enjoy.
I love reading your essays (I don’t know what else to call them)

Thank you and I'm not sure what to call them either. They certainly aren't too well thought out. I just pick an oddball subject and riff on it in a stream-of-conciousness.

Yesterday it was a pickle jar. Next it might be those disposable flossing sticks that you see all over the streets these days. The ones with the plastic handles that look like tiny harps. What is it with these people, flossing their teeth in public and tossing their flossing stick into the street? Disgusting.

Love it, came over to read this from the thread today about the “What is a Woman?” documentary.

For me, I take the jar and take the top off, and quietly hand it back without comment. If it is difficult, I say “Yeah. This one is pretty tight, and if I can’t get it, I reach in the drawer for the rubberized disk used for this, and hand it back, open, without ceremony saying simply “Here you go.”

And she says politely: “Thank you.”

No Mess. No Fuss. But then, my wife, even if she won’t admit it aloud, knows full well most men are physically stronger than most women, including her.

No shame in it.

But, I did love your essay...:) Nice job!

It is what I still call it, when I can fumble around and retrieve it in my brain.

Otherwise, it is a bottle opener!

When I get that challenge, I just make up my mind to do it, and I do it. If I can’t, I use the tool.

No shame. No condemnation. I just do it and hand it. back with no ceremony!
