My wife carries a .380, and I sometimes do in the summer as it’s a lot easier to conceal. Some of the modern .380 SD ammo can pack a pretty good wallop, especially at close range....IF one can find some available these days. Of course, shot placement is everything no matter the caliber.
It’s not the big, bad, scary 9mm Biden lung blower-outer though, but yeah...waaayyy better than nothing at all.

I remember a truck driver with semi loaded with guns who made wrong turn in El Paso and was told to make U turn in Mexico.
He ended up in Mexico jail for years!
They confiscated his truck with all the load too!
