This song was not disco, but a ripoff of T-Rex. Great song though.

This song always reminds me of Wayne’s World.

Ah, the incomparable Ballroom Blitz. In 1979, they opened for Journey at the Orpheum in Boston. The people in front of us had no idea as to who they were, until the drums started on Ballroom Blitz. Desolation Boulevard was a decent album.

Oh Man. That’s been a few years.

I think Krokus did a version as well.

This was one of the first rock songs I heard on the radio that I really liked - helped move me from country to rock. Didn’t have music videos back then so I didn’t know how gay they were - but the music was good.

This makes me appreciate how well Spinal Tap captured the style of the era.

I didn’t care for disco, but some of the music from the 70s was okay.

poor Brian Connolly died way too early. Another victim of drugs and alcohol.

I believe they wrote this song after being “bottled” at a concert — audience didn’t like them and started throwing bottles at them. (I guess like Blues Brothers... but for real.)
