E.ON Hikes Energy Prices 45% As Germany Winds Down Its Last Nuclear Plants
The Deep Dive ^ | April 17, 2023 | E.R. Velasco

Germany began shutting down its three remaining nuclear power reactors on Saturday as part of a long-planned shift to renewable energy. The international community was keeping a tight eye on the shutdown of the reactors Emsland, Neckarwestheim II, and Isar II, which was agreed to more than a decade ago...

***snip***

The country was caught in a bind as it tries to enact the 2011 resolution by former Chancellor Angela Merkel to make a nuclear exit by the end of 2022, but was starting to reconsider in the face of threats to the stability of the energy supply.

Europe’s largest electricity exporter made the decision to keep the last reactors open until mid-April after power operators conducted stress tests on the grid. The results showed that there could be times the electrical supply will be hitting crisis level given the tightness in the continent’s energy market.

Alongside the closure of the nuclear plants, German multinational electric utility E.ON increased its prices by as much as 45% starting June 1.

This is what happens when you let wealth sovereigns run your government.

They must be prohibited from government and politics. They are too disconnected from the common man.

“2011 resolution by former Chancellor Angela Merkel “

Merke has done to Germany what WWI and WWII and a thousand years of previous war and development, and that is destroy Germany and German culture. It is now a Muslim colony of Africa and the middle east. Having lived there not all Germans accept it. The young idiots do in the West but the older all over Germany, especially the East hates what that woman did. And none dare criticize it or they are harshly prosecuted. An Afghan rapist will get a few days in jail, if that, but someone who criticizes that same Afghan rapist will get two years in prison. What a mess. I had a good time living there until her invited hordes of monsters started destroying everything they touched.

You can be assured the “immigrant” communities will NOT have their power shut off. It will happen in the wealthy suburbs and villages.

Ironic thing is, it was an energy crisis and social democrat Helmut Schmidt that massively expanded nuclear power.

Sad thing for the Germans is, they once were a technology leader in commercial nuclear power. Today the import nuclear power from France and lie about it.

And despite all the green bullshit talk, what they really did was largely expand the gas fired plants (what we’re also doing), i.e. Russian pipeline.

Big question — how does Germany plan to maintain its position in the world as one of the premier industrial countries?

Big concern — huge social unrest because of catastrophically high unemployment of technical workers.

Additionally — social unrest in Turkey and Algeria because their Gastarbeiter are coming home empty-handed.

Only solution — WWIII.

Good thinking Biden, Kerry and other Climate terrorists. Hopefully you all join in the fight and die.
