It is astonishing that liberals never ask the question “Is this policy working? Do we need to change course? Should we abandon this and try something else?” They are totally immune to empiricism and their consistent response is to double down on what failed in the first place.
Any honest assessment of any liberal policy reveals complete disaster everywhere you look.
Oregon is on the verge of passing a law to make it illegal to say something mean to a homeless person. It’s not a two-way law. The bums can continue to harass, spit on, scream at the Normals, and defecate on their front yards, but not the other way around.

Yes, but they keep winning and we keep losing.
The problem is they are very adroit at creating new ways to cheat in every election and destroy election integrity. Republicans, if they do anything at all, try to fix those vulnerabilities in the next election, but, by then, the Dems have created a whole new menu of cheats. It becomes a fool’s errand.

So Illinois lost $25 billion in AGI of taxpayers, NY lost $50 billion in AGI taxpayers from 2019-2021. California lost close to $60 billion AGI of tax payers. That’s the gift that keeps giving year in and year out. Those states will never get a dime since that AGI taxpayer not only won’t pay taxes but the economy won’t get those dollars moving through it.

This is a very common theme on the NextDoor app in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area. Lots of California, Oregon and Washington expats in North Idaho say they fled those sh!thole states because they are hopelessly gone. But our locals and long-timers are very wary of them and what they did to the states they departed. Generally, most expats I talk to are very conservative.
