I noticed recently that Tubi has the Donna Reed Show available for watching. Probably something like that even has more entertainment value than the dreck that these people would be churning out if they were not on strike.

I think they grossly overestimate their bargaining position. When all you produce is woke garbage that almost no one wants to see, you not only have zero leverage but you’d actually be doing everyone a favor by going away.
They killed the goose that laid the golden eggs, and now it’s been so long since anyone remembers seeing an actual golden egg that we’ve all moved on to other things. Good luck ever getting us back.

Christmas comes early this year. Can AI replace them all? Please? I think California already has laws on the books, granting actors intellectual property ownership of their likenesses.
Long after, say, Brad Pitt, is dead, his heirs can license his likeness to star in more films.
AI won't kill all actors' careers. They'll continue earning paychecks without even working.
Now, this won't help most actors. Nobody wants their AI images. But they're already unemployed, so they'd be no worse off.
To: Libloather
Thank goodness. Let the writers and actors stay on strike forever.

There are plenty of classic movies available.
Who needs the current drivel?

Key issues for actors include their base pay, which they say has been hit by inflation.

I watch Pluto tv and Youtube videos.
Other then ‘Last man Standing’ with Tim Allen, I have not watched any new network show in many many years.
They are so cut and paste and quota driven and of course insert their deviancy and their hatred for America.
It is tough now watching Pluto tv as they are showing many gay commercials. Imagine watching Gunsmoke or Stargate or Wild Wild West and then they break for commercials and you see gaaaaack!!

I doubt AI will be doing endless remakes of movies from decades ago... the writers we have now are crap. The sooner a machine replaces them - the better.
