Despite the lawyers providing no damaging information against Trump, the DOJ used language in the indictment to turn Trump’s lawyers into material witnesses. Weissmann’s Lawfare tactic create a conflict, forcing the two Trump lawyers to depart.
Trump seems to seek out the worst lawyers possible.

No, 5his goes back to when he was registered as a Republican. Michael Cohen was with Trump since 2006, and was his fixer. Cohen later tried to have Trump thrown in jail, and was convicted for his own crimes. There are better lawyers out there that would take a high profile case.
