All in all a good historical video.
I did not watch the video, but I am old enough to remember that long weekend. The three networks and the newspapers had many stories about the “hate” in Dallas and throughout the South for Kennedy over his intergration stance and others.
If anything, Oswald’s defection to the USSR was downplayed as much as possible.
Actually, not that much difference between today’s media except today, the media is louder and more intense.
Or LBJ. Or the CIA. Or the Mafia. Or a combination of all the above.

the general impression that I came away with was that lee harvey oswald was a cia agent sent to russia—whom the russians turned against the USA. that was achieved somehow through his russian wife. the russians returned oswald to the USA where he shot the president.

It appears he was questioned and put in lineups multiple times in the approx. 48 hours that he lived for after being arrested but not yet formally indicted/arraigned yet.

Normally leaders are assassinated and what town or city it is done in is irrelevant, in JFK’s case the media branded the people and politics of Dallas, Texas as what killed the President.
The mob is the only southerner radicals with the motive and means to kill Kennedy. Carlos Marcello was the mob boss of New Orleans and he hated the Kennedy brothers.
Witnessing the current obvious and deep corruption at the CIA, I'd place my bets on the CIA.

It was a CIA agent, Lee Harvey Oswald (James Jesus Angleton was his handler) who was the designated patsy for the assassination.
You need to add a fifth party who benefited from the assassination.
JFK ferociously opposed nuclear proliferation and refused to allow Israel to get atomic weapons.
Once JFK was out of the way LBJ gave the Israelis the green light to get the bomb.

At that time, that day, I was attending one of my 6th grade classes at Otis AFB Elementary School. When it was announced I remember falling out from my desk/chair to the floor. I came to a bit later, and the school had suspended classes for the rest of the week. The airbase went on full alert so my dad had to stay at Base Operations and process aircrews’ flight plans.
