No, Florida is much too hot for me. I tried it once, suffered from heat exhaustion just stepping out of the car. I spent four years in San Antonio Texas when I was in the military, and three years on Guam. That's as hot as I want to get.

It is a nice surprise and a break from an often sub zero January. We actually are more likely to get big snows in the Spring. We have weird weather. Bring shorts and a winter coat. It depends where you are and at what elevation etc. I just keep one in the truck. Just in case.

I always stay at Comfort Inn Hill City. Clean. Quiet. Except for steam train. Breakfast included. Walking distance to Alpine Inn. Best German food around. Bumpin Buffalo has great wings/burgers.

Didn't seem like many housing options in that area. No State Income tax. One less gang of bureaucrats to deal with. Quite beneficial to your heirs and assigns if such is important to you.
