Eco-vandals targeted Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie's £241million superyacht in Ibiza today, using fire extinguishers to coat it in red and black paint.
Vegan activists from Futuro Vegetal (Vegetable Future) sprayed the 360ft vessel before holding up a 'You Consume Others Suffer' sign in their latest climate protest stunt.
The Spanish group has claimed responsibility in a statement on social media, which states that 'the only reason we continue to maintain an economic system that leads us to eco-social collapse is to sustain the privileges of this small privileged class.'
The superyacht belongs to US supermarket heiress Nancy Walton Laurie, who has an estimated $7.7billion fortune and is the daughter of Walmart co-founder James 'Bud' Walton.
It has been moored in the marina for five days and was scheduled to leave Ibiza today. But the vandals struck just as the crew prepared to set sail. Police say two male protesters have been arrested.
It comes just two days after the Spanish group carried out a similar stunt in Ibiza, when the eco-zealots sprayed paint onto a private jet.
A crewmember from a yacht nearby to Kaos told MailOnline the damage to the vessel will likely cost its owner 'millions'.

Futuro Vegetal's aim is to end subsidies to livestock farming and use the money for a transition to a socially and ecologically just plant-based food system, according to their mission statement.
It states: 'We don't have time to keep trying the same tactics we've been using for years.
'We need the entire population to be aware of the critical point that we have reached as humanity and of the intergenerational violence that institutional policies entail in the face of the Climate Crisis.'

very likely all of this sort comes from very wealthy families - this is their rebellion and virtue signalling shedding of guilt. Tomorrow, they will talk about it on their $1000 phones in their very expensive designer outfits, while lunching at the vegan/vegetarian cafe for $100 a plate. Some one will send a limo to pick them up to go to a planing session for the next act of rebellion.

One would think Madame Billionaire would have a Ring of Steel security system surrounding her yacht. Maybe the thought never even occurred to her that activists would go this much out of their way to give her a hard time. I didn’t read about anybody being arrested or hauled off. You have to crush idiots like that, or they will keep coming back.
