No matter. He was struck by the car. I’m no fan of the police. But this looks like a good shoot, a shoot in self-defense.

So where was the cop when he shot at the car, in front of it or off to the side?
That would make a big difference. I watched the video. Unless I’m missing something, I can’t tell.
Sounds like a similar situation to the shooting in France that started the riots.
Would be interesting to know if video shows her shoplifting, since it will be claimed that she was an innocent lamb. The shooting was caused by her refusal to follow simple orders and assaulting the officers with a deadly weapon (if their story is true). But the shoplifting was the predicate to the interaction. If she did it, she baked her own cake.

Polices seem to like that getting in front of the car. Any movement is an excuse to open fire for some of them.
If the goal is to prevent the car from moving, provide them with quick to deploy wheel stops. No one, cop or perp will be in danger if the car is immobilized.

I go with the cops on this one. Should have just gotten out of the car. If the cops were out of line, she would have had lawyers jumping at the chance to represent her.
from what I read above, she wasn’t thinking nor caring for her 2 boys, unborn child nor herself as she tried to flee from police questioning her AND she basically encouraged her shooting by saying what are you gonna do shoot me as she tried to drive away.
I do question the police officer pulling a gun if she didn’t seem to be a real threat before hand.

I see the usual prog freepers here excusing the thief that tried to run over a cop because they thought their black privilege would give them a free pass. All the funny named perp had to do was put the car in park and get out as lawfully ordered. Good shoot and ANY asshole who tries that crap deserves the same.
