GENEVA — Earth has sweltered through its hottest Northern Hemisphere summer ever measured, with a record warm August capping a season of brutal and deadly temperatures, according to the World Meteorological Organization.

Last month was not only the hottest August scientists ever recorded by far with modern equipment, it was also the second hottest month measured, behind only July 2023, WMO and the European climate service Copernicus announced Wednesday.

Now for the reason why it's so hot. It's NOT man-made climate change.

Three missing links from NPR, NASA and Space.Com:

Tonga's volcano sent tons of water into the stratosphere. That could warm the Earth

Tonga Eruption Blasted Unprecedented Amount of Water Into Stratosphere

50 million tons of water vapor from Tonga's eruption could warm Earth for years

More BS.

FL: Last summer we had over 80 straight days of 90 plus, this year, not even close.

Make you wonder about how you can compare readings from non-modern equipment… and tree rings … and ice cores … and stuff they just make up. There is zero scientific rigor in climatology.

>>Now for the reason why it’s so hot.

I assume then the only proper response is that man-made climate change is what caused those volcanos to erupt - therefore, it is humans fault after all </sarc>

Scientists blame ever warming human-caused climate change from the burning of coal, oil and natural gas with an extra push from a natural El Nino, which is a temporary warming of parts of the Pacific Ocean that changes weather worldwide. Usually an El Nino, which started earlier this year, adds extra heat to global temperatures but more so in its second year.

BS from the article; it's all Chicken Little yelling (with agenda driven radicals) to blame all extreme weather events and so-called climate change on man.

Not here in N. Georgia where I live, long spring, only a few
really hot days and now temps are declining.
Should be a glorious fall but winter could be severe.

Propane price continues to climb... thanks a lot FJB.

Sounds like they're using Central Texas from the past few years as their baseline. Well above average temperatures with well below average rainfall. The dark red blob in the center of Texas is where we're living right now. Ugh.

What a joke...No matter what happens each year...we are not in charge and anything we do is miniscule.

Everything that happened this year has happened before...Hurricanes, floods, fires, droughts, volcanic eruptions....there has NEVER been a year since we began keeping records that excludes any of the mentioned.

I remember when they introduced polar vortex...this year...we have "heat dome".

We're not stupid people.

They say every summer is the hottest on record. It’s just nonsense, man made climate change.
