A lot of tilapia is either farmed in China, or farmed here, and sent to China for processing.

Salesforce CEO: Why can’t SF be ‘clean and safe’ every day?
**************
Is that really part of the story? He might as well ask “Why can’t SF be ‘clean and safe’ ANY day?”
And he should ask the local deuce-droppers that question.

I’ve seen trout farmed.
Fed some kind of fish food in a stream.
Fenced from going up or downstream.

Tilapia were on the other side of the fence where they could eat what came out of the trout.
Haven’t eaten it since.
Enjoy!

Reportedly some tilapia raised in China are fed animal feces and/or treated with antibiotics. Which animal feces? I don’t know. Antibiotics may allow resistant organisms to be growing in meat. Undercooked meat may not kill all the bacteria. General rule, avoid Chinese prepped or grown tilapia...cook fish well...

Yeah I won’t eat tilapia.

It’s high in omega 6’s and low in omega 3’s which makes it unhealthy.

But most of it is farmed in China in what amounts to cess pools.

No thanks.

Only wild caught salmon for me, even if processed in China.

I once took a single bite. That was all it took for me to realize I didn’t like it. Haven’t tried it since.

Tilapia is an African trash fish, one level above carp. Amazing that people eat it.

I live on seafood. There are only two fish that I find repulsive: tilapia and sanddabs.

I don’t know if she was vaxed, but it appears she may have been immunocompromised, a condition associated with the mNRA vax - a Megyn Kelly immunocompromised condition. Of course, if her maiming was causally related to the vax, no one will ever know and it will never be reported as such.

“Spottiswoode says the bacteria is especially concerning for people who are immunocompromised.”

We live next to one of the open canal here in Scottsdale. Talapia are introduced the canals as they are a bottom feeder and are supposed to eat the algae on the bottom. they can be very big 2-3 ft. Rarely does a week go by that I do not see people fishing for these things.

No Thanks

It’s been two months and there’s no definitive answer?

When my father got food poisoning and nearly died from a convenience store’s prepared BBQ lunch, the hospital somehow lost the test sample from which they had made their diagnosis. The lawyer he hired mixed him up with some other client and never pursued the case. I started to wonder just how much sway the lawyer had with the hospital (the lawyer’s family are founders in this area).

This poor lady probably doesn’t have a case since she cooked it herself. Prayers for her and her family. A horrible outcome from a simple meal.

I've tried to warn people for a long time about Talipia. What it is and where
it is harvested.
Same with Swai. Listen up y'all.

My grandparents were born in the early 20th century. Refrigeration depended upon getting a block of ice. Farm animals were raised without antibiotics and the pigs were fed slop. They never ate any meat that wasn't cooked well done.

Oh yes. They ate a lot of animal fat (bacon grease, pig skins etc...) and they all lived well into their 80s. But they did not snack unless it was a piece of fruit.

If one ever saw a tilapia farm you would run far far from that garbage fish. Catching catfish from a portajohn at a Texas chili cookoff is more sanitary.
