A Texas middle school teacher has been fired after assigning her students a graphic novel version of Anne Frank's Diary - which references male and female genitalia.
Officials within the Hamshire-Fannett Independent School District confirmed that a teacher was let go and that the book had not been presented for prior approval.
In the graphic novel adaptation of the famed diary, Anne Frank details her exploration of her own body parts and her sexuality while going through puberty.
Upon learning of the book's use in the curriculum, parents voiced their outrage while talking with KFDM, saying students were required to read out loud in class.
'It's bad enough she's having them read this for an assignment, but then she also is making them read it aloud,' said mom Amy Manuel, whose sons are in eighth grade.
'Making a little girl talk about feeling each other's breasts and when she sees a female she goes into ecstasy, that's not ok,' she continued.
In an email to the local Texas outlet last week, Hamshire-Fannett ISD representative Mike Canizales confirmed the teacher was released after the incident.
The instructor was initially dismissed from classes on Wednesday, September 13, but on Friday, officials said they were looking to hire a replacement for her.
'The District is currently in the process of posting the position to secure a high-quality, full-time teacher as quickly as possible,' Canizales wrote.

This is an updated version that has extra things added that was said to have been taken out of the first edition.
I've read this edition and honestly don't think this is something a 13 year old girl would have written, but that is just me.
Good.
You know the publisher and the woke pervs are adding stuff like this, left and right.
What does the ADL think about this?
The National “ Education “ Association.
Indoctrinating teachers, and students, for many decades.
“’The District is currently in the process of posting the position to secure a high-quality, full-time teacher as quickly as possible,’ Canizales wrote.”
Best of luck there - considering that they ALL come from the same pool of people (basically hard-leftists who hate kids and feel they have to ‘transform’ them).
It depends. I haven’t read anything in the new version, but if its her style of writing, its hers. If it soumds like a different person, its not her.
We could use ChatGPT to analyze the writing style of both
They likely love it.
I guess reading, writing, and arithmetic is just too much to ask for these days.
Probably
You can use chatgpt to mimic the style of writing. I don’t know that part is definitive anymore.
Drawn in ballpoint pen.
It’s extremely unlikely, to me, that a young girl of her time would write stuff like that down.
I was born over two decades later, and I would never have written that down, and probably hardly thought much about those things at that age to start with.
What was the point of a ‘graphic novel’, anyway?
The point of this ‘novel’ seems simply to be lascivious and titillating.
This fake version of the Anne Frank diary is the one referenced in general terms of conservatives banning The Diary of Anne Frank
But aren’t we Anti-Semites for opposing it, Jew-hating Nazis...sarc
Well, i don`t know this graphic novel, but i do know, that Anne Frank`s father apparently removed several sections of the book before publication, especially those about her sexuality. Later editions used the restored manuscript. So the graphic novel is probably just based on the complete version of the book but not “fake”.
Why is the teacher’s name and picture not in the story? The leftist media covering for this stupid person is the likely reason.
The entire reason the version was written was to create a false narrative about conservatives banning books and introduce sex to children.
This version is not Anne Frank’s Diary as she wrote it. It is a graphically disgusting bastardization that introduces gratuitous imagery into the heart wrenching subject.
It uses her tragedy as a way to desensitize children to sex, capitalizing on her tragedy to to so. It also gives the left a wedge to lie through obfuscation and create such headlines as in this article.
She did not draw pictures and most people have no problem with her unredacted version, yes it is spicier but still in context.
I have no problem with that book when presented within an age appropriate group. Adding pictures though has an entirely different motivation
