Actually, 42 is the ASCII code for the “*”. The star is the universal notation for “wild card”. Basically it can stand for whatever you want.

Me and my bowling team was discussing this last Friday night. We came to the conclusion that the number 42 rightfully belonged to Jackie Robinson, not the universe.......
