I've said for many years now that the US should close Incirlik. We should move out all our equipment and munitions, flatten the land, and then give it back to Turkey. Good riddance.

I was at Incirlik in 1982. I felt the same way, back then. I never thought the Turks were our ally.

Turks are using NATO to weaken Russia, so they can rebuild The Ottoman Empire.

Back in the 60s when they tried to storm Sinope, they were told go home or no water for you, and if that doesn’t float your boat, the 100 artillery pieces aimed at your town will.

“I was at Incirlik in 1982. I felt the same way, back then. I never thought the Turks were our ally.”

I was there in 77 and thought the same.

It was good to see the Turks stopped the protestors from entering the base. With the way ErDOGan has been talking, I wasn’t sure what would happen.

The only thing keeping Turkey from developing nuclear weapons is our storing of the weapons at Incilrik. We pull out of Incilrik and the Turkey tries to rebuild the Ottoman empire.

Incirlik airbase hosts approximately fifty B61 nuclear bombs.

Useful during the Cold War. But it's a liability to have them there. It's not far from Syria. What if ISIS captures the base?
