Author and journalist Michael Shellenberger has said that “U.S. and U.K. military contractors” have used “sophisticated psychological operations and disinformation tactics… against the American people” in sworn testimony in the U.S. House of Representatives.
In a hearing of the Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government chaired by Jim Jordan (R-OH) on suppression of free speech by the government, Shellenberger presented the information he received from a whistleblower about the origins of the so-called “Censorship Industrial complex.”
Shellenberger, one of the “Twitter Files” authors, coined the phrase “Censorship Industrial Complex” to describe the network of government and private entities that censor information and opinions online that go against the mainstream narratives.
“I regret to inform the subcommittee today that the scope of power and lawbreaking of the censorship industrial complex are even worse than we had realized back in March,” Shellenberger stated.
“Two days ago, my colleagues and I published the first batch of internal files from the Cyber Threat Intelligence League, which show U.S. and U.K. military contractors working in 2019 and 2020 to both censor and turn sophisticated psychological operations and disinformation tactics developed abroad against the American people.”
According to the documents provided by the whistleblower, the Cyber Threat Intelligence League (CTIL) developed the blueprint for dealing with “misinformation” online. The CTIL was staffed by U.K. and U.S. military contractors as well as numerous former and current members of intelligence agencies such as the FBI or Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
CTIL’s ultimate goal, according to the whistleblower,”was to become part of the federal government.” In 2020, CTIL partnered with DHS’s Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA). CISA then created the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) and its successor, the Virality Project (VP)…

Our closest ally at it again. You know, the ones that have launched devastating attacks against America five or six times at least. It’s a curse on America that so many people think they are allies and friends. The sooner you understand that Britain only looks at us in terms of how to exploit our wealth, and can the US military be used to achieve British goals, the sooner you understand the UK.

As soon as the Cold War ended we should have ended our special relationship with UK. They are still the same country that kidnapped 10000+ American citizens prior to the War of 1812

Or earlier, since this UK analyst apparently attended one of the final meetings of the Obama admin. I wonder if it was the Jan 5, 2017 meeting with Obama, Biden and Comey where the plot against Carter Page was formed?

JOE BIDEN: I know nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn, number one. Number two, this is all about diversion. This is a game this guy plays all the time. The country is in crisis. We’re in an economic crisis, a health crisis. We’re in real trouble. He should stop trying to always divert attention from the real concerns of the American people.
GS: I do want to press that. You say you didn’t know anything about it, but you were reported to be at a January 5th, 2017 meeting where you and the President were briefed on the FBI’s plan to question Michael Flynn over those conversations he had with the Russian Ambassador Kislyak.
JB: No, I thought you asked me whether or not I had anything to do with him being prosecuted. I’m sorry. I was aware that there was – that they had asked for an investigation, but that’s all I know about it, and I don’t think anything else. I mean this, is – we have an economic crisis. We have a health crisis. This is all about diverting attention. Focus on what’s in front of us.
