Conservatives online torched Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, over his veto of a state bill to protect women's sports.

The bill, the Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, passed the GOP-controlled state legislature but was vetoed by DeWine on Friday.

The SAFE Act would have barred sex change treatments for minors while blocking transgender women and girls from participating in female sports leagues in Ohio.

At times I don’t know who does the most damage; Dems or our own backstabbing RINOs?

From Dewine’s own website: “ Ohio Values” is listed as #2 of his 3 most valued interests.

So Ohioans believe in trans sports, bio boys dressing in girls locker rooms, and confused adolescents with single mothers getting permanent gender reassignment procedures?

I doubt that., the % of trans in Ohio is 1/2 of one percent (wisevoter.com).

Democrats don’t seem to have this problem do they? The only 2 I can think of is Joe Leibermann and Tulsi Gabbard, both who left the party. It seems any democrat politician who doesn’t toe the Marxist agenda 100% is excommunicated, but Republicans for some reason stand for leftist RINOs day in day out.

Agree.
They normally vote 95% or better on every bill.

We usually have an expected group of 20%+ or so RINOs that go withe Dems on many bills. Jut my observation.

I had begun to feel a little positive about him when he signed the Constitutional Carry law, but now this.

DeWine is a professional politician. Professional politicians never do anything that might be perceived as a negative for their future career, unless forced to by something else. He’s either got his eye on running for President, there is something in his past being used against him, or both.

Bending to the demands of the popular “issue of the moment”, transgenderism, is playing the fool. There is no real “transgender”, it is a myth built up in the minds of persons who claim to have gender dysphoria. The only “change” in gender possible is from male to neuter, or female to neuter. No matter how many surgeries or hormone treatments are undertaken, never, not once, has the chromosome count in ANYBODY changed from XX to XY, or XY to XX. The only result is permanent sterility, and therefore, a total removal from that time on from the gene pool. Those individuals who have undergone the full “transformation” are sterile.

If the individual has retained all the underlying physical characteristics, they ae not “transgender”, but mere transvestites, who only take on the dress and mannerism is the opposite sex, pretending while in costume. This sometimes covers up homosexuality, but many transvestites, perhaps most, still remain straight, and in the instance of a male playing girlie-girl, use this disguise to make sexual assault on females.

DeWhine is a COWARD!

He knows children are being mutilated and damaged forever but he won’t do the right thing because he is a spineless weiney.

He also can’t stand up for women athletes who work so hard in their sports just to have a MAN, pretending to be a woman, steal it away from them.

He’s a despicable turd-ball RINO!

It’s been reported that the legislature has the votes to override his veto.

DeWhine was afraid of the nasty media.

Now big media is saying he sided with parent rights.
So parents now have right to mutilate their children?
I seem to remember that was a crime for the past couple thousand years.

He should change this to "Dewine Values"

“ It’s been reported that the legislature has the votes to override his veto.”

Wouldn’t that be the game? Gov saves face with the trannies, but legislators override veto thus protecting women’s sports? He should have stood up to the trannies. Normal people would respect him for it.

Living in Ohio as a Republican conservative is like being under Pope Francis as a Catholic Christian.
