A Delta Air Lines plane flying out of Atlanta lost its nose tire as it tried to take off on Saturday, the Federal Aviation Administration has revealed.
The Boeing 757 was set to take off from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Bogota, Colombia on Saturday when the nose wheel came off.
According to the FAA reported, the nose wheel came off and rolled down the hill as during the line up and wait to take off.
The Delta Air Lines Boeing 757 nose wheel incident is the latest in a slew of terrifying incidents involving Boeing aircrafts.
'The 75 on the runway just lost the nose tire,' said the pilot who was behind the Boeing 757, according to audio posted by VASAviation.
The Delta Pilot said, 'Thanks for that … sounds like we got a problem.'
'Yeah, we saw that tire roll off the runway to the south. Looks like it went off the runway, probably down the bank down there,' said the other pilot.
All 184 passengers on board and their bags were removed from the plane put on a replacement aircraft, reported WSB-TV.

What the hell is going on? This would seem to be a maintenance problem but yet another Boeing incident.
The results of DEI/AffirmativeAction and ignoring merit & actual qualifications.
How are those transgender mechanics working out?
What am I supposed to do with all these extra lug nuts?
Will we find out the maintenance people are holding drag shows in the employee break room at Hartsfield?
Inflating tires is racist.
This sounds more like a maintenance issue than anything in the Boeing design or manufacturing plant.

Ok...it's early in the comments, but I'm designating you winner of the thread.
Yes, Boeing has had its issues recently, but I'm getting sick and tired of headline writers blaming every single maintenance issue on the fact that the airplane was a Boeing.
Some facts: For long haul jets, there's only two manufacturers - Boeing and Airbus, who each have roughly 50% of the market. So any problem will be a 50-50 shot that it's a Boeing aircraft.
The Boeing 757 was last produced in 2004, so the NEWEST 757 in existence is 20 years old.
This was a maintenance issue on a 20+ year old aircraft, and had nothing whatsoever to do with a flawed Boeing design.
Sounds like more of a maintenance issue (Delta).
This is now starting to seem deliberate…

Even though I wasn’t a crew chief, on deployments we often worked flightline, and I ran crews that fueled aircraft and did tire and brake changes, things CC, really weren’t thrilled in doing after the 1 millionths time.
We loved it, gave us something to do
These are not difficult tasks, but if done wrong can have catastrophic results.
Too much fuel, not enough fuel, CG wrong….
Aircraft tires don’t have lug nuts, they have one nut and the tech data is very clear. Something like this should never happen, and certainly points to a bigger problem.
But hey as long as pronouns are correct I guess all is good /s

Now, is not a good time to fly or use any mechanical means that use DEI (DIE) to maintain them. It’s like a plague.
The was just lost. No way of ever knowing how that happened.
